Just came across these posts on Facebook 392 forum. I ask what year then then saw the answer 24-25 will ask why was beefed up. Also doesn’t seem these guys know who they are talking with
would like to know more about what was beefed up.

Had the motor burn out twice and had the TC replaced once coz something broke inside, there were lots of metal bits in the oilJust curious, what kind of TC issues were you experiencing before the software update? Thanks.
After doing some homework and detailed analysis of the MP3032 tech docs including TC power flow and control. I have come to the following hypothesis regarding the posted comment that have been made on the 24/25 stating Stellantis may have upgraded 392 transfer cases.
From what I can see Stellantis released a software change for the pre 24 cases, this changed the operating parameters of the electric motor that controls the clutch pack for the front axles.
I have also come to the hypothesis that a new motor MAY have been released for the 24/25 model year and this might be what some Jeep people (Scott) might be referring to.
I may try giving a Jeep dealer a call to see if the parts department can see if there is an upgraded motor for the 24/25.
If this is what was done this would be something a pre-24 owner could easily do to add some longevity to their TC.
Lastly, On thing to mention, this motor only comes into the picture for selection and clutch pack activation for the front axle. If you are using a Tazer in the 2wd mode the motor does not apply pressure to the front clutch pack so no matter how hard you are on the throttle the front clutch pack can not be damaged. About the only thing you will be doing is delivering 100% of engine power to the rear diff and no torque split can occur.
As I am sure is obvious, heavy right foot planting in 2WD all the time could lead to premature failure on the rear Dana 44, plus a 392 in 2wd can easily become a handful especially in the rain, not to mention the excessive rear tire wear. Whoops!
I would love to see a thread on a Hybrid MC1622C/MP3022 configuration, but for now if we can figure exactly what Stellantis has done with the MP3022 or a major aftermarket manufacture comes up with some bullet proof upgrades the Atlas seems to be the only real solution for those climbing rocks or dusting sand dunes! Cheers all, Knowledge IS power!
There are a lot of unknowns here, and in all honesty know one has 100% verified an upgraded transfer case in the 24/25. The last time I was at the Jeep dealership I was told by the parts person he was not aware of any changes in the part. He wanted a VIN for a 23 (which I didnt) have to see it there were different part numbers. The back and forth conversation leave many questions. I wish we have a Dealer parts person on the forum that could give us these answers for sure if the 24/25 case was in fact updated and the software upgraded.I have a question relating not only to transfer cases, but axels and diffs, specifically on hard launching the 392. I have come across a few different theories, looking for additional feedback. Hard launches on both dry street pavement as well as a sticky drag strip. Do I want to go into offroad+, and leave the stab / traction control off, or turn traction control back on? Do I want the rear diff locked (and then must leave traction control off)? I would think locked rear diff. Do I want to leave it in 4H auto, or go into 4H part time? I would think 4H part time? I would think if you are going to hit it hard it would be best to lock everything up that you can. I would plan on brake torquing, maybe to 2500 RPM? I am not planning on doing hard launches on a regular basis on the street, and might only hit the strip once or twice to get real acceleration numbers.
I have a 2024 Final Edition, with a late June frame assy date.
Thoughts?
