While my 2026 392 doesn't have a functional FAD, with my 2018, I chose to keep it functional when I modified it to all chromoly. It's always worked as designed. It has a 4340 RCV inboard axle and collar, with an outboad 4340 Dana axle, equipped with o/s 1410 U-joints. I like it. They've been in there for about 4 years now and have been on the Rubicon a few times as well as a couple trips to Moab and many local souther California trips.
