Who's selling their 21-23 392 for a 24?

I was just watching a TFL video that they did at EJS and at 1:00 in Tommy stated that if you get the 8k factory winch Jeep extended the crash bumps on the bumper. If that is the case for all factory installed winches then you will have some ridiculously large frame horns (crush cans) sticking out of your bumper.

So I went back and watched the video that TheStoryTillNow did at the same event and sure enough at 8:34 the 392 with a winch also has the huge frame horns.

This could all be preproduction and not what will actually ship from the factory but if it is, an underpowered winch and extended frame horns would be a hard no from me on a factory winch for sure.
I noticed those on some other pictures and they are huge!

Replace the screen in yours, I am sure a kit will be made available eventually to retrofit it into older JLs.
Yes, that is a great idea!
I wonder if there will be air vent or ducts that will be different?

The weird thing is other aftermarket things seem to have done the job better than Stellantis. The issue is, the aftermarket things seem to lose certain functions that make them less attractive. From an aesthetic standpoint though, they are better.

The Phoenix solution is my favorite, but I believe it's Android only.

That looks like 5 million times better than the 24 solution (sorry, I'm just bent that they did a poor design job on it imo).

And I don't get the winch thing. I guess I could be missing something, but why not offer the 8k option, but also a 10 or 12k option for more if someone wants it.

I guess they'll sell a lot 8k ones to completists and so forth that may never get used, but for people who really want off road rigs, I'm guessing they'll install a 10 or 12 aftermarket.

So I have a Sting-Grey 20A on order and think it's a good hybrid between the 23 and 24 models.

Having said that, I was disappointed that they didn't give the 20A floating axcels and side curtain airbags.

I'm good with the two-tone seats and 8.4 screen with matching air vents. I think that the newly relocated rectangular vents may face some scruteny with regards to airflow.

I also noticed that the new 12.3 larger screen has been moved forward substantially which I am not a fan of, nor did I care for the deeper seated starter button as a result of the new screen.

Lastly, the power seats are great, but the lack of memory makes them futile for me.

All in all, some good chages, but not enough to make me change my mind. Also keep in mind that with the changes there will be some wight gain for the 24 on a truck that has a modist cargo payload.

Yes this is true the winch requires those horns to shield Jeep’s liability. 8k is underpowered for a 4 door wrangler in my opinion. I am guessing this option is probably a $2k add on, so to me it’s not worth having Jeep install it - do it yourself, save money and you don’t get a dorky bumper.

Thinking about it since delivery last January. Waited 8 months with premium half doors and all that Jazz. I just can't stand looking at that tiny grille and A/C vents that unproportional design. There are other things to worry about, but I do not like all the cosmetics changes. I haven't even driven this thing lol and only has 300 miles. Been busy with the new Street Glide ST and Breakout.

Really, really sucks that they aren't offering STINGREY for the 2024!! That is the only thing holding me back! Took me almost a year on order for my 392 XR Stingrey to get delivered to my dealer, and I absolutely LOVE the color. We want the upgraded 2024 for the side curtain airbags and upgrades, but the lack of the color we wanted to bad not being there well... "Stings" lol. Plus we have the 1/2 doors, and it would be nice to not have to buy that option again! (Just buy a '24 stingrey and keep the doors in other words). And honestly, the other thing we hate is the RED SEATS. WTF were they thinking with that? I think that will singe my eyes every time we get in.

We haven't ordered anything yet because we haven't seen pricing. IDK what we are going to do at this point, we are 50/50.

Would for sure upgrade if they offered a nice bright green.

Same thing for me. I already have Sting half doors from my 23 and didn't order them on my 20A so I can just re-core them and use them.

Plus I have really grown to love Sting Gray over time. It doesn't clash with the interior (just personal preference) and it looks good with the 20A half and half red/black seats. I like Anvil and Earl, but I can't convince myself to like them as much as Sting. Wouldn't mind GCM, but I had that on my JKU.

On another note, I was told to install one of these on my 23z

Anyone running a catch can on the 392? Not sure if it’s all hype or really needed.

I’m m running a catch can on my 392, in 1000 miles it caught about an ounce of oil. I was getting a good puff of smoke during start up, after researching I found that it was probably oil dripping out of the PCV hose into the intake. After the install I haven’t seen any more smoke on startup and the oil that is collected is just like sludge so keep that out of your intake has to be beneficial in the long run.

Thank you. I’ll be adding one I suppose. Thx!

I love my 23xr!! I agree with most of the comments above and am not interested in the 2024 at all. One thing I haven’t seen mentioned is the 2024 has the antenna built into the windshield…with the high probability of a broken windshield…no thank you.

They created a solution to a problem that didn’t exist and made windshields more expensive 🫣

Reading through all the posts.
All I know is you guys are loved by car dealers, phone companies and Best Buy.
Gotta have the latest & greatest!
Go at it! It helps the economy! 😜🤓
