Who's selling their 21-23 392 for a 24?

Keeping my '22 XR. I love it and don't see a single reason that would push me towards '24.
I'm disappointed how Jeep released 20A one month prior to 24 model. Plus we still don't know 24 prices, who does that?
I know! Why would they not at least release prices?! I was hoping the 24 would have the compressor option like the 20a

I know this has been beaten to death, but I am so torn on whether or not to keep my 392 or order a 24!
I love the bigger screen, but I don't like the red interior.
I already have winch, but I like the idea of a factory winch.
I like the side curtain airbags and I like that it's supposedly quiter.
I have an 23 Earl 392 with the Xtreme Recon package.
I am sure the MSRP will be much much higher.
What are yall going to do?

Thank you

You already have the best Wrangler ever…Earl 392 XR. That is the perfect Wrangler. Why would you sell? For silly screen or floating axle…

Thank you for saying this! It really is a great Jeep and the color is phenomenal. Plus I’ve not had any issues so far, (knock on wood) so I’m thankful for that.
I was driving it tonight and thought, do I really need that screen? I’m just listening to Sirius and just driving, I don’t really need anything else. Plus a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush!

Thanks for helping me decide!

No way would I trade or sell my 23 XR with 787 miles for a 24 for basically a bigger screen. I did have a tinge of remorsefulness probably because I as well as most of us were convinced the 20A would be the last hooray for the 392. (I did not order or have interest in a 20a) but there is just not enough there that I like to even make me consider it. Now if I had a 20a on order absolutely cancel and wait for a 24 because that perceived exclusivity is gone. 24 has everything the 20a has and more minus the stickers. Anyone here who is talking about possible MSRP increases is full of it IMHO because of you ordered a $90k (optioned) Jeep in the first place a few extra K is not going to make a difference. Most of us have well over that in mods on day 1 already lol.

Now if 2025? They offer the 392 plus 4XE hybrid with 500+ HP I would reconsider.

-The screen is big enough. The new wide format will have wasted space left or right. Its not like the navigation screen will be bigger, perhaps smaller.
-Dont want red seats
-I dont understand the desirability of a factory winch over aftermarket. Why?
-I am surprised at how many people want the air bags. Safety is great but I cant imagine buying an otherwise same vehicle to get them.

With what I saw coming on the ‘24’s I knew I would regret not getting a ‘23 for myself. I have been enjoying my wife’s ‘23 XR so I traded my Redeye Hellcat for a ‘23 XR locally that popped up. Love this thing!

Keeping our ‘21. I’m sure the new ones are great and all, but between the price increases and paying for the factory equipment upgrades that I would inevitably want to upgrade anyhow, it makes no sense for us. We love ours and have made it what we want. Don’t go out for hamburgers when you have steak at home.

Not selling. I like new things, especially when they get old.

I think I'd rather put the money into personalized upgrades. Agree with most that the screen, etc., just doesn't float my boat.

No way I would trade my 2023 XR for a 20 year anniversary or a ‘24. The anniversary edition is nothing more than a money grab as well as for dummies who think it’ll be a collectible. the upgrades to the ‘24 along with the price increase, doesn’t make any sense at all. Now, if you don’t own one currently, well, then, that’s a different story.

Not selling. I’m going to keep her. The mid-model refreshes are interesting and I’m glad they are still making 392s. I’m good though. 23 XR.

I was pretty excited for the tow increase, when all the rumors started flying last month, and would have been first in line to trade in my ‘21 XR if it had materialized.

Without it, I much prefer the ‘21-‘23 392s to the ‘24. So…

Nope

…..unless they include auto up/down windows.…I’d get a ‘24 for that! 🤩

I’m not at all a fan of the new grill, the red seats are tacky in my opinion, and I think the screen looks out of place with the square vents mixed with the round vents by the doors.

I didn’t buy a 392 for the luxuries, I bought it for its off-road capability combined with the endless power of the 6.4. So power seats, bigger screen, etc does nothing for me personally.

I’ve also invested significant time and money making my 2022 392 XR my own, I wouldn’t part ways with it nor do I want to start over. I love my 392, I’ll ride mine until it dies.

Have any of you put in an aftermarket system that you are happy with? I don't want the Stinger or the Alpine Restyle.
I have a Kenwood 10.1" in my truck that is nice, and I know that any stereo will lose some factory options, for example the rear camera, but I'd love to have built in wireless carplay instead of the dongle. The dongle works great in the front USB, but not the armrest one.

My wireless CarPlay dongle has been working flawlessly in the console for months.

It seems like mine takes so much longer than the one up front.

  1. UC5 w/ wireless carplay/AA is a good upgrade; on the other hand, the UC5 Tom Tom nav sucks compared to UC4 Nav but the UC5 OTA Nav updates are a plus vs the UC4 $149 per instance paid updates.
  2. Not a fan of floating displays, the mix of rectangle and round vents seems like a design miss and the screen appears squished to fit
  3. I've complained about the red seat only decision ad nauseum, it makes no sense to cater to the extremely small % who like the red seats while excluding the vast majority of their customers who want a black interior by not offering 2 interior options.
  4. 99% of the people who put winches on their Jeeps never use them, this checks a box and an 8k is likely sufficient in most cases, weight and size are probably factors why it's not the 12k Warn from the Power Wagon.
  5. air bags are a good addition and should also drop your insurance a bit, reason to upgrade? not by itself but a good thing to have
  6. forced downgrade to the XR package was a big miss IMO
  7. POWER SEATS w/ memory, huge upgrade bringing the Wrangler into the modern era.

The big game changer to me are the power seats, it's ALMOST enough to get me to trade up but being forced to downgrade to the XR package and those cost increases are hard to swallow as a value proposition. We've pretty much decided to just live with the manual seats and enjoy the Jeep as it.

Loving the new red seats, side airbags, standard tow package, full float rear axle and standard 35's.

I'm am waiting on the official MSRP announcement before entertaining placing an order.

I am a bit nervous on how steep the increase will be. That's a lot of additional standard equipment over the outgoing 2023 392.
