My local shop hosted the MetalCloak CTI again this weekend.

The good news is all bump stops are set for max up travel to stuff the 40’s with no rubbing or issues. I can adjust the bumps up a little bit more in the rear before bottoming out the shocks and still have clearance in the fender wells. However the down travel is limited before the coilovers are fully extended. Maybe the Antirocks? I need to do some more testing.

What was your score?

Live in MtPleasant for 2 years but in Florida now

I’m getting stationed near Mt. Pleasant next year. Judging from your home in some of your old pictures, I knew you were down that way.

Found your thread because the Clayton performance springs are on my radar. I’m an OEM+ kinda person. Especially on a daily driver.

You will love it there we still miss it. You will not be disappointed with the Clayton springs mine drove great with that combo even on the 38’s

I started OEM+ then lost my mind at some point 🤣

Have you made any changes to the suspension since the CTI test?
I have not yet. My local shop is going to do the fork lift test and check it out I just haven't had time to get down there. I am probably going to have him install the RCVs next month and will check it out then.

Installed the AWE Switchpath exhaust today. It took me about 3 hours including a beer break and hanging out with my kids at the pool For a bit. It would have been quicker if I had spent $20 more dollars on a better hanger tool. It broke on the first one :sneaky: and if I had paid attention that 2 of the clamps were 2.75” and go where the AWE connects to the OEM😞. All I can say is wow it looks sooo much better and the sound is amazing, Pops burbles and all. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade. But beware quiet mode is the new loud and loud is on another level.

I also installed the Banks Pedal Monster (no pics lol) The Bluetooth and app for adjustability is nice and on my short test drive I played with different settings but will get it dialed to my liking. The quicker throttle response is nice. Now I don’t feel like I’m driving an old hot rod with a big torque converter

I am going to have to find a new place to mount the BD S2 lights on the rear bumper now as the suggested place is right in front of the AWE tips. If I can’t figure something out I will return them and mount S1’s where the reflectors are. Kinda wish I would have done that anyway. Lights will start arriving next week!

These Nitto 37’s are “E” rated tires.

How was the ride quality with the Clayton performance springs?

That was a long time ago lol but it wasn’t bad per my recollection. I do however remember it improved after I swapped to the ridge grappler 38’s which are C rated but obviously area less aggressive tread.
I know tire opinions are like a$$holes but if you are going 37’ I’d recommend the MT Baja Boss MT. I really like the 40s I have now better than both of the Nittos I ran and the 37 MTs are D rated. The 40s are C rated however.
The Clayton coils are a big improvement in every way over stock

Thanks for the feedback.

I might get BFG KM3 MT in 37x12.5r17 which are “C” rated. I figure those will pair nicely with the Clayton springs.

I’m thinking about getting Innov8 G600 in 17” also. Either them are BC Forged. Leaning Innov8 because they are an American company. BC Forged is made in the US but not an American company.

Man you can’t go wrong with Innov8 this is my second set. My first set (gold) were on my Raptor and fell in love lol. Great company and great wheels! You don’t see them on Jeeps often either which is a plus. When I swap to tons and 42s I will stay with Innov8. Pricey but worth it IMHO

I had good luck with The 37 BFGs on my Raptor. I went with them (KO2) for the same reason to match OEM, C rated and trying to keep weight as low as possible. I do not have experience with the KM3s so sorry no help there.

I just can’t see myself throwing on these cast wheels from companies like KMC, Fuel, AEV.

I’m going to put a clear over the raw forged machining.

Thanks for all your replies. I’ll be close next year if you’re in North Florida.

I’m thinking about moving to Tampa after my first retirement in 5 years.

Same here on the cast wheels. That will be sweet! I’m probably going back to gold anodized on my next set. Awesome! Anytime and happy to help in any way I can. I unfortunately know how much $$$ I have spent twice deciding to do something different lol.
I’m in Wesley chapel about 30 min north of Tampa
When you get ready to order the Innov8s mention me or let me know and I’ll tell Jason (he’s the owner and has helped me a lot) and may be able to get a discount

I’ll be 1.5 fuel tanks away from you.

If I go the Innov8 router instead of BC Forged, I’ll contact you before ordering.
