🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

I lost some cluster display features (compass, clock, phone/nav pop-ups), of which are not important to me. I, also, do not have a few UConnect features any longer (Remote Start/Lock/Unlock, SOS/Assist, WiFi Hotspot). I never had any intention of using those anyway, so no big loss to me. WiFi didn't work anyway.

Yea Uconnect isn't a big deal to me. I've used it once just to see it work but I can't think of a use for it for me personally.

The big screen is awesome, I assume Google maps works well with it?

No, not difficult at all. Took about 30 mins or so. Here's a YouTube video that shows you all you need to know. Only thing I did differently is I did remove the passenger side grab bar for easier access.

Works great! The best part (at least until I buy the CarPlay2) is that I replaced the USB connection and cord in the storage cubby-hole under the armrest, and it works flawlessly when I have my iPhone plugged in. Eventually I will get the module for wireless Car Play, but until then it works great.

Oh wow, so instead of replacing the dash usb, you did the center console? That's smart. I'd much rather the wire come from there than the dash.

Like probably so many of us, during the time I was waiting for my 392 to be built and delivered (5 months for me) I built a pretty sizable list of planned mods and accessories, some big many small, while trying unsuccessfully to be patient for actual delivery. A lot of what I chose was influenced by this forum, for which I'm very appreciative. I've been wrenching on my Beast on and off as schedule and procurement delays have allowed since I took delivery back at the beginning of July. I've been posting on this thread as I go and appreciate all the great feedback and support along the way from all of you. . . sincerely, thank you all for making this such great forum and community. A big Jeep Wave to you all!

I knocked out a few more this afternoon and I'm getting very close to being done with my mod list, just a few more to go (if one can ever really be done wrenching on a Jeep - ha ha). Looking forward to shifting the focus very soon to just enjoying the hell out of this incredible toy in all it's glory!

Today I installed the leather dash panels, a full set of TuxMat all weather mats, and the new "performance" wiper kit. I am really happy with the dash panels. The pics I've seen online and my own don't do it justice. It looks so good in person, really makes the interior pop matching to the other leather trim, and I'll say again should have come this way from the factory on the 392. If anyone else is considering the leather panels and on the fence, I highly recommend them. I also liked the Tux Mats even more than I thought would, especially in combination with the new dash panels. The whole interior in my opinion and taste just really ties together so much better now. Again, the pics don't do it justice, but here they are. I didn't bother taking a pic of the wipers since others have recently. I like them and am glad I got them, but to be honest I admit it was a frivolous expense for no other reason than the cool factor!

Does the Caramel stitching come close to matching the standard 392 interior stitching on the seats and steering wheel?

I had the Borla S-Type exhaust installed today. I’ve been trying to add some before and after sound bytes but the files are too large to load. I’ll work on it more. Initial review is a giant smile on my face and every other guy around a 100 foot radius when we cranked it for the first time. It is louder, not over the top louder tho. The real difference is the tone is noticeably deeper. It really sounds glorious. Under load is where it really wakes up, again a little louder and a lot deeper. On the interstate once it gets through the gears it sounds very similar to stock, didn’t overbear the cabin anymore than before.
Aesthetically, IMHO, the look of it makes it worth the coin spent. The muffler is half the size as the stock and is tucked in nicely. It’s very sturdy and well built. My shop guy said the install was very straight forward and easy. The quiet button still works as before. I can’t speak for the ATAK, I’m sure the sound would be pretty ridiculous if you like that kind of thing. I’m fairly certain my wife wouldn’t ride in it if were any louder…but of course that’s what the quiet button is for right!

I treated the underbits with clear Woolwax. There were a couple places that had surface rust starting to develop. This on a vehicle built 2 months ago and never exposed to salt, sea, etc.
Well, no pictures of the undercoating process (plenty of Youtube videos out there), but here she was in yesterday's smokey sunset...
