Finally found time to have a clean, clay-bar'd Jeep to install the hood and front fender PPF protection from @Underground Graphics. No more rock chips driving to/from Moab...YES!! They didn't offer this until I reached out to them, so I'm very grateful they took the time to make a front PPF kit for our Jeeps.

Perfectly cut film and easy to install. Thanks @Underground Graphics!!!

Front Half-Doors window tint. (My Summer Mode: Half-Doors & Soft Top)
I wanted to wait a while to see how this window tint worked before I shared. The front half-door windows are just clear plastic windows. I felt like a little tint would be nice. Normal tint will not work.

Picked this tint up from Walmart for $14. It stays on (static cling) but can be peeled off (and re-applied). I did use straight water to apply it and that worked better than just applying it dry. Visibility is nothing amazing, but they are plastic windows to begin with. I'm happy with how they turned out.

I installed an American Adventure Lab M.A.S.S. Spare Tire Platform. Anything from AAL is super high quality and this is no exception. It fits my 40" spare tire like it was made to fit just that tire. Tolerances are super tight for a solid and sturdy rack when mounted. I plan to carry extra fuel cells on the rack for this year's Dusy Ershim trail.

The only one I've been attracted to so far is the Trailrax Pak Rax. It's surprising to me the weight this claims to carry though using the fiberglass rain channel.

I have used the 3.2-gallon Fuel Pack for carrying extra fuel on an ATV for years. They don't leak and the fuel spout is simple and easy to use. One time I did a 275-mile ride in one day on an ATV and strapped three of these Fuel Packs on the racks of the ATV. Even with just bungy cords they stay put when they are tied down. And an ATV travelling fast enough to cover that distance in a day on rough 50" wide trails will jostle the Fuel Pack a lot more than a Jeep will. For the Jeep I can stack three of the Fuel Packs for a total of 9.6 gallons if I need it. And on trips that I don't need extra fuel I can use the AAL rack for carrying other items.

The things I don't like about Rotopax fuel containers is that they leak, and the fuel spout is safety proofed to the point that a person can't use them. It is all but impossible to get fuel to flow through the safety mechanism they came up with on their spout.

It says on the tank that it is made by Pioneer Outdoor Products and it says "Fuel Pack" on it. I think I found their website here: https://www.pioneerplastics.co.za/products/20l-fuel-tank. I don't even know if they are still a viable option because the website is from South Africa. I bought them from the dealership I bought my ATV at, so they must have had an American distributer at some point. Even a large ATV parts seller like Rocky Mountain ATV/MC does not have them anymore. Maybe it is because they don't have the new user proof fuel spouts with safety requirements needed in the USA.

Rotopax does a much better job of marketing than they do of making a fuel spout that doesn't leak and actually pours fuel when you need it to. When looking for the website for the maker of my fuel tank it was very hard to find anything but Rotopax. Search engines must be paid a lot to move them to the top of the search list.

After a lot of sweating and well time spent, I was able to install RSE steps. It’s a bummer that the passenger side came with a good scuffed area (coating) under the front passenger door area. I’m a bit bummed that it came this way after spending $$ on a product. However, I’m waiting on skid plates so that will cover up the area. What spray can do you guys recommend that matches to the RSE coating?

I spoke with RSE and they recommended satin black rustoleum touch up paint……it matched mine perfectly

Changed the Trans fluid.

Pro tip: if changing the pan out to a PPE one, make your own drain plug

also can confirm Metalcloak engine skid (steel oil pain) clears the +1qt pan

I bought the Ai13 cap , and vent, for my 4 gal Rotopax, then ripped out the white plastic screen and it's pretty much just a regular container now. I thought it was going to be hard to remove that screen, but it came right out. With that cap, I can crank hard enough to prevent leaks
