Installed my S&B this am. Looks good and no clearance issues with my sPod.

Thanks @jeepguru !

not the best pic, but installed apex steering tonight, bout broke my pickle fork getting the joint off the pitman arm, alignment in the am
Hopefully someone will make a skid plate for this. Let us know how it performs.

Next Venture Motor Sports is working on a skid plate for the Through Shaft Ram. Hopefully availiable by July.
ahhh! I actually just have a flacon stabilizer in there right now but I do have one of the though shaft rams, but im going to do a high mount on it. Hopefully the make a bracket for it too. (the one they make currently isn't the correct size, ask me how I know)

Finished my rear axle center suspension limiting strap. I've noticed traversing the dunes and going down steep declines in MOAB, my rear suspension extends more than I like. So I'm trying this.

Got half doors and the AWE Switchpath exhaust installed this weekend. Honestly hoping the exhaust mellows just a bit with break in as it is much boomier and more rumbly than the stock even with the valves closed. Don't get me wrong, it sounds amazing but I mostly preferred the appearance of it over the stock. The install with a single pair of hands and less than average amount of car wrenching experience was not fun, but obviously doable. The half doors I picked up new in box with the uppers that I'll probably never use. They were white from the factory and had a local shop do a pretty great job matching them to my '41.

I’m with you, I have it it’s great and love the look but wish it was a little less boomy with the valves closed.

Finally got around to installing my hoist in the garage, summer mode Jeep, Spiderweb shade, Tube doors, and mirrors installed this morning.

After a lot of sweating and well time spent, I was able to install RSE steps. It’s a bummer that the passenger side came with a good scuffed area (coating) under the front passenger door area. I’m a bit bummed that it came this way after spending $$ on a product. However, I’m waiting on skid plates so that will cover up the area. What spray can do you guys recommend that matches to the RSE coating?

I found this small 4-pin wiring plug near the larger trailer brake controller plug. This small plug was completely hidden under a large piece of black tape. Anyone know what this 4-pin plug is for?

(Ps...I have the factory Jeep trailer brake controller kit and will be installing it soon, which is why I was digging
around under my dash.)

From a robot:

That 4-pin plug is the factory aftermarket brake controller interface port.

If your Jeep came equipped with the factory tow package from the assembly line, FCA bundled the required cabin wiring under the dash so you wouldn't have to splice into the brake pedal switch or run wires through the firewall.

What It Does & How It Fits Your Project

  • For Aftermarket Controllers: If you were installing a standard aftermarket controller (like a Tekonsha P3), you would purchase a vehicle-specific adapter harness that plugs directly into this 4-pin connector.
  • For Your Mopar Kit: Since you are installing the official factory Mopar trailer brake controller kit, you will notice that the Mopar module harness directly utilizes this factory-taped tow package connector to source its power, ground, cold-side brake switch signal, and the output line running back to the 7-pin bumper plug.
Unwrapping that black tape is exactly what you need to do to complete your installation.

It does look like the 4-pin connector from the dial that mounts in the dash to set the gain. So, if I don't add the dial, can a guy just set the gain digitally I wonder? In my RAM, the factory brake controller is great for testing just the trailer brakes, to see how they are working independently of the truck brakes.

Oil change time...every six months, come Hell or High Water. I will never rack up 6,000 miles in that time frame.

Added a Fumoto value for next time and since I have 7 vehicles to maintain I have roll of oil change stickers to help remind me.

I hope they have this recall issue sorted out by September when we drive to Ouray, Colorado for the Jeep Jamboree.

Yeah, my VIN was listed when I entered it. Such a bummer.
