I’m still debating on if I want to run a spare…….I want to keep my rear steel bumper with the license plate, so I’m searching for solutions on what would look good to cover the vents and something capable of mounting my backup cameraI take it your not running a spare?

The Plus's: I absolutely love the look and convenience of having the rear tire gone. The rear tail gate and storage area is a snap to get into and not having to slam that heavy tire on the tailgate hinges will ensure I will never have a problem with rear seam cracks that some have mentioned on the JL Wrangler forum. Plus you will be amazed how much rear visibility your now get with the tire gone.![]()
Spare tire delete for 24/25 FE
Looking for a good looking kit to be able to remove the rear spare and carrier on a 24/25 392 that has the factory rear tailgate re-enforcement hinge. I do not want to remove the factory re-enforcement hinge. Before someone mentions I totally understand the ramifications of doing this...www.jeep392.com
This thread has lots of good info.
Yeah! Love cruising over the sand dunes, I try to take a road trip to White Sands at least once a year in the H2, this year the 392 will be going instead!Got some sand on it

My lean to the right is awesome when I'm off camber to the left. It makes 30 degrees feel like 25...I did the opposite 3 1/2 up front and changed to 4 1/2 in the rear plus two 1/8 level washers on the right rear to level out that Jlu lean . I suspect due to the fuel tank. It sits level side to side and just a nice rake back to front. I carry tools fluids refrigerator, Jackery with the 3 1/2 springs in the rear and all my stuff it was just sitting about level front to back
How about the return trip on the same trail? My lean to the right is awesome when I'm off camber to the left. It makes 30 degrees feel like 25...
just hit 60K and did plugs, prob could have gotten away with not doing them but in for a penny in for a pound
anyone who's doing them: the front two on the passenger bank are a out right bitch, but you can do them with out taking out the batter/fuse tray with a sickeningly combo of universals and wobble extensions, an lots of lots of self restraint and patients, its a pain but do-able.
all of them:

Worst one: rear plug of the second cylinder on the passenger bank (cylinder 4?)

Best one: Front plug of the second cylinder on the Driver bank (cylinder 3?)

a few had a little oil residue on the threads so ??? I cant remember if they where over lose or not compared to the others, but it is interesting how they dont have washers just a taper seat, none of the contacts had anything but normal cheeses on them except for deriver 3rd back (cyl 5?) I bet that one had some water egress past the ignition coils seals and just got cruddy
not a extreme difference in how it runs, but I bet ill prob get better milage all in all
So I got the Jeep back last Friday, for the 2nd time. This time they replaced the rear freedom top seal. Today is our first day of rain. We'll see what happens. Honestly if it's still leaking, I'm just dealing with it. F the dealer.Warranty work on the door seals did nothing for the water leak I have. After recording the water coming in while driving, I'm convinced it's actually the freedom panel seal. Taking the Jeep back to the dealership Monday. Will show them these videos. Notice the water coming in from the top right as I come to a stop. Happens on driver side too. Two different clips of it.

Naive question from someone who lives in the desert: What are the rules regarding having your Jeep on the beach like that? How do you peacefully co-exist with the beachgoers walking along the shoreline? Are you allowed to actually drive the beach under any circumstances?Got some sand on itView attachment 54544
Speaking for Oregon and WA coast, driving on the beach is legal in certain areas but road rules and speed limits apply. For the most part, majority stick to the slow MPH limit and areas you're allowed to go. Sure, you'll get the occasional mad dad who runs at you with a hammer for romping on it in the sand because clearly his kids were at risk of being run over from 80 yards away. It's sad so many people allow their aggression to consume their daily lives.Naive question from someone who lives in the desert: What are the rules regarding having your Jeep on the beach like that? You can drive on the beach in Daytona and yep drive it’s packed during jeep beach. 10 mph but everyone cruises and parks. It’s kind of stressful when you have little ones running back and forth but it always been the tradition there.
