🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

23-inch pounds pretty much is just finger tight. I just installed a Smart Cap on our JT Mojave, and the bolts that hold the modular cap together are supposed to be tightened to 3.7 ft lbs, which is 44-inch lbs. I was surprised how little that amount is when it comes to tightening something down. I've removed a JL hard top and reinstalled it before. I didn't use a torque wrench, but I'm sure I was way over 23-inch lbs when I tightened down the bolts. Live and learn, I guess. Thanks for taking the time to post the specs.

LOL, sorry but the Dynatrac's are already in... just trying to dial everything in now 🍻

Thanks 🍻 . You do have the advantage with that new PSC Left Turn Assist feature though.....

Picked up the Jeep today from my local shop.
5.13 gears.
Artec front truss.

Finally got my front bumper after almost 3 months from AAL, winch will arrive today, had a zeon platinum 10-s but wouldn't fit. Received my Metalcloak rear narrow bumper and threw that on, received in just a few days.

American Adventure Labs front bumper notes: few bolts that were a bit tough to get through, lots of shoving and tugging even though all were loose. But in the end, it did all fit without a BFH. Packaging is among the worst 2 companies I have dealt with in multiple industries. All sides of the box had holes from the bumper pieces being jolted around. Luckily besides a couple of small chips/scratches was still good to go, someone else may not be so lucky.

Metalcloak bumper, no issues with fitment, finish, this is my 3rd rear bumper for them and chosen as it's proven in the rocks and also houses the tow harness out of the way.

Received and installed the Rockslide Engineering JL 4-door Step Slider 3rd Gen on Saturday. Took about 6 hours to do. Instructions were a bit confusing compared to the video RSE has on their site/YouTube. Easily worked out, however. The install was fairly simple...mechanically. The wiring actually took the longest time, but it's pretty straightforward. All-in-all, I am very pleased with the results!

Cheers!
If you haven't done the courtesy lights for these yet, highly recommend. Spent about $15 for a brighter kit that is IDENTICAL to the kit that RSE sells for $75+ without taxes/ shipping. Check out my note👇 🍻

Just a quick update on my previous post, the warn zeon 10-s platinum is too wide to mount in the AAL modular front bumper. Ordered a smaller vr evo 10-s and then found out that the winch mount plate from AAL did not allow the winch far enough back to match up the mounting holes to the winch. Winch plate has a bend upwards in the back that is too shallow for the vr evo.

Had to notch out a couple of spots to get the winch to fit. Called AAL today and let them know that their website description that it'll fit up to a zeon 10-s was inaccurate. They were great on the call, and if there is a redesign, they will get me an updated part.

But on the other hand, had a great time on Saturday after my Friday evening winch fiasco.

Tried to find out if I could slow down the road noise coming from the driver's side rear door. I have a TJ, so used to some but this was a bit excessive. Went to check the bolts on the hard top, and they were all finger loose. Not finger tight, but really loose... Got them tightened up to what the book said, 23-inch lbs. front and 30-inch lbs. on the back. Haven't taken it out yet to see, but that's gotta help the noise.
Just got it, 2023 w/ 11k miles on it. Thinking I'd better check everything else now too...
Took the front bumper ends off, concerned about how exposed the light was. Looked on this forum and someone mentioned Utha works and got a set of them ordered. I live on a gravel road, so no way it can go out without some protection. Might have to put the caps back on till they get here.
Your post caught my eye only because I had just recently reinstalled my hard top for the first time and had to look up the torque specs for the bolts. The owner's manual actually states the following:

(Front) B-pillar: 119 in-lb +/- 23 in-lb
(Rear) J-rail: 154 in-lb +/- 30 in-lb

Maybe snug those bolts down a little more so they don't loosen up again. Just trying to help. Congrats on your new ride!

Thanks, it did get rid of the wind noise. There will be some I know, but this one sounded like the door was cracked open a bit. Now it's good to go!

what bracket did you use to mount the ram on the axle side? curious....I went with the next venture one. yours looks different.

Also, I did not do the belt driven pump. I already had the Apex boost kit installed, so just did the Steering Box and the ram. Super happy with it so far.
I really don’t know. My shop probably just fabricated one.

I ordered the kit with the weld on bracket but decided to go with the PSC mount. I also looked at the NVM mount.

My shop had to use this PSC bracket. The NVM bracket that I initially chose was not compatible with my RPM steering.
