I am running a Metalcloak 4 1/2" lift, and yesterday I changed rear shocks from King shocks for a 3" to '5" lift to King shocks for a 6" lift. The shock body for the 6" lift shocks is 1 3/4" longer than the shock body for the 3" to 5" lift shocks, which allows another 3 1/2" of down travel. I tested the increased rear suspension articulation today. I left the front sway bar connected for this test, because I was trying to force the rear suspension to do all the flexing. With the front sway bar disconnected the front suspension still flexes more than the rear, but the rear suspension is getting to the point that I think it is "good enough". The tires haven't left the ground yet, so it might flex a bit more, but I think I'm getting pretty close to the limits of articulation of a short arm suspension, and tire clearance for 40s after trimming all of the pinch seams off. The longer shock length seems good, because at full stuff with the bump stop squashed, I have 3/4" of shock shaft still showing.

What fenders are you running? Looks great!

Added the Redline Tuning QuickLIFT Elite. I have no idea why I waited so long to pull this trigger; well worth it.

Just a couple of many changes forthcoming; just waiting on the shop time 🍻
If you get tired of walking around that crate I can provide you with a prepaid shipping label :) I saw that Dynatrac is having a sale on all their axles, I have the 60's in my cart and just kept looking at the enter button...

First light of day she's seen in about 2wks....

Installed the RockSport Black shocks I have had sitting in my garage for the last 8 months, bit the bullet and bought new wheels so I could install them. Had Kings in the past so hoping they are worth the price, also installed some Rusty's off road skids for the rear mounts.

Finally got around to installing the ZAuto NoLimitz module. Far easier install compared to the Tazer. lol

It came with the latest firmware so we shall see how it goes...

put new transfer case fluid in.....what a mess......did not drop the metal Cloak skids and just cleaned it up as I caught it dripping and must have used 25 lbs of towels to clean up the drained fluid.

Finally... after 10 months we have dirt! Nothing crazy, just a good familiar trail for a shakedown run.

Had to decide between a $700 spare wheel and tire (which would never be used for more than a rotational spare) and $170 spare tire delete. See choice below.........

After looking at at least a dozen brands... I decided on the DV8 model. It's not intended to fit with the factory tailgate reinforcement, but worked around that as i like the reinforcement looks and didn't want to give it up. Unfortunately there is no delete kit that will work with the factory onboard air compressor.....so that got deleted. (no haters please). I talked to DV8 about something that would work and they didn't even know there was a factory air compressor option. had to send them a pic of it. another headache was the later rear factory cameras are different than early models. had to do some improvising (grinding) to make that work. It doesn't some with the nylon plastic plate mounts. I had to make those fit (more grinding). But after all the reworking......I love the look.......comments?
some recently added bling items..........always excellent quality from Distinction Applied

Tried to find out if I could slow down the road noise coming from the driver's side rear door. I have a TJ, so used to some but this was a bit excessive. Went to check the bolts on the hard top, and they were all finger loose. Not finger tight, but really loose... Got them tightened up to what the book said, 23-inch lbs. front and 30-inch lbs. on the back. Haven't taken it out yet to see, but that's gotta help the noise.
Just got it, 2023 w/ 11k miles on it. Thinking I'd better check everything else now too...
Took the front bumper ends off, concerned about how exposed the light was. Looked on this forum and someone mentioned Utha works and got a set of them ordered. I live on a gravel road, so no way it can go out without some protection. Might have to put the caps back on till they get here.
