🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

The RSE's have served me very well in both function (steps) and protection (sliders)...... just sayin' :)
They are great.

I went Goat because I'm not all fancy like Applebee's.

Definitely the way to go. The little truck is just a temp so don't wanna spend tons on it. When the AEV shows up it will be full ppf head to toe
Yea for sure but didn’t do it all over just the problem areas

Ha, I couldn't have been more unclear...

I was talking about the sockets but now I am a little confused when you mentioned the ARB socket. I don't actually see it. When I look at the ARB socket online, it looks like what I may need but I am a little confused on what cord to use going from it to my EcoFlow since it doesn't seem to be a standard Cig lighter plug.
I realize I wasn't being too clear either. In the picture the left socket is the ARB one, but I left the cover on. The socket is for the 12 volt plug that comes with the fridge. It has two pins in the bottom and a locking ring at the top that screws in. I assume it is proprietary to ARB, but TBH I have never seen a cord for other manufacturers.

The socket on the right is the standard cigarette one.

I just ordered one of these. I plan on just using one of the aux switches unless there is a reason to run it continuously hot. At least with the Aux switch I can choose to run it off ignition switch or battery and have a little more control over it than a remote I will misplace.

The rear power plug is ignition switched unless you move the fuse to make it constant, correct?
There are many ways to wire the light. They even give you a cigarette plug if you want to use the rear power plug (I didn't ). There are also instructions for wiring it with the interior lights.

I chose to use the circuit that powers the rear power plug. I did change the fuse to have it hot all the time. (there is no power draw if there is nothing plugged into it). I tapped the wire for the power plug and added a switch to turn it on and off. This works best for me as I can turn the light on when I open the rear cargo door, usually putting in groceries. :) It also comes with a remote that I can use to turn it on and off and change colors and intensity. When camping I like to sleep in my Jeep and the remote makes it easier to turn it off when I go to sleep at night.

Looks like the fridge end of the ARB power cord is a standard XT60. If it is, it would work for my needs.

Took out a windshield on the Moab trip... had the Gorilla Glass installed today and will give that a shot; it's my first experience with this product.

I have gorilla glass in my jeep. I drive it to and from Lake Tahoe several times a year during ski season which is the worst for picking up stones. I have had one gorilla glass replaced, but must say it was after many many track hits from stones, none of which scratched the glass, but one finally broke it. I am a big fan of the gorilla glass. Jeeps flat windshield makes it very vulnerable to breakage, but I believe the gorilla glass reduces the odds significantly. My second windshield is also gorilla glass and so far has taken quite a few hits, there's not a single scratch.

You can probably tell I am a Metalcloak fan. Their engineering and product quality is superb. I added a few more of their goodies to my jeep. I installed their new Bolt-on front lower control arm skids, their rear lower control arm skids, and their dead pedal. My under armor is almost complete.

Next I am going to try to get their resonator skid to work with the Magnaflow Muffler system. I think it can be made to work with some modifications to one bracket.

Keep me posted on your success with the Magnaflow, I have one on the way and will likely be using MetalCloak for all my skids (however I am thinking about the Artec that is made specifically for that exhaust / tips area.

I will keep you posted, I have the magna flow rock crawler exhaust. The tips are not exposed on that one, and are above the frame rail in the back. It does not have the valves for the quiet mode.

Looking good! I like to think I went all fancy like a late night Waffle House (y)
True story, there is a Waffle House a few miles from us and I got summoned and chosen for trial. Turns out it was the head cook from that Waffle House. He was accused of molesting a 8 year old child. I thought he was guilty but we ended up in a hung jury. About 3 weeks later, I was going down the road that passes the Waffle House and the guy was crossing the road right as I was heading down it. It took a lot for me not to punch it and run him over. My brain was telling me it was the right thing to do.

i mean, you gotta consider it for sure.....

I'll never pass up an invite to the "magical, spiritual" place that is the Waffle House....

One more silly question. I have never drilled/cut a hole to the interior panels. I am just going to use the ARB socket vs the socket and housing so I need a round hole. Will a hole-saw cut this just fine?

I'm not familiar with the exact outlet you are dealing with but generally they have a flange that covers the cut hole. Most importantly, just dont cutie too big. I have not cut into my 392 interior either but my LJ has been molested for phone holder, locker switches, microphone for stereo etc. They all look great.
