Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition Discussion

I think there's a knob at each outlet that would let you shut it off.... maybe one of them was closed?
Those seemed to deflate the tire when I played with them. The outlet at the end worked, but the middle one wouldn’t fill the tire. I’ll probably mess with it today

Look what was unloaded off the carrier today. Has my name on the Window Sticker ;)

Looks like they took it on a test drive to Burning Man 😜.
I know, right? I didn’t know it was that dusty between Toledo and Missouri. 🤷‍♂️

The Eagle has Landed in Ohio. Doing a PDI today and installing Winch, Off-Road Light Kit and install the Half-Doors.

First time ordering a Jeep with the half door option (with premium uppers). Jeep came PACKED with stuff. I couldn't move either seat and the passenger seat had the all weather floor mats along with the freedom panel bag in it.

Overall initial quality is good...couple of panels were scuffed up from all the boxes and stuff jammed in there - dealer is replacing them (back plastic panel on front passenger seat and the plastic "tray" in the rear bumper under the spare tire. Good thing is those are easy fixes.

Initial impression...much tighter than my 2020 Gladiator Launch Edition...even when I first bought it. No rattles, squeaks, etc. The sport mode exhaust is awesome. This is my first 392. Taking it easy on breaking it in, but even at sub 50mph, it sounds amazing!

Tires are over inflated...38-40 PSI so I'm going to get all four down to 37 (if not 35). I run 35 in my BFG K02 35x12.50x17 on my Gladiator and it's just right.

I‘m enjoying the hell out of mine. Drove mine back from Gupton in Springfield, TN to north Houston on Tuesday/Wednesday (Roughly 800 miles) Did my “advanced break in plan” and gave the engine a nice better than the book break in. My build looks solid, no rattles or creaks (my 4XE has a horrible creak in the SOT).
This is my 1st 392, but I had some unexpected observations (Maybe this is common knowledge). Even with the enhanced exhaust off, if you get on the accelerator hard, the exhaust temporarily opens up. Does the 392 have better sound proofing? Reason I ask is the cabin is noticeably quieter than my 4XE, and my 4XE has a Hothead liner installed under it’s SOT. If sound proofing isnt better in 392, I’m wondering if the 2024 changes might have snuck in there on the 20A? Just for giggles I tried to “hyper-mile” to work this morning. I was able to get 19.4 mpg.

I know this sounds dumb...but coming from a Gladiator and a 2019 JL...I was surprised when there is no auto start/stop... Kinda nice not having to deal with that.

The engine shutting off when you come to a stop to save gas. My JL and JT have it but not my 392.

I'd be so annoyed if it had ASS on my 392. I have it disabled on my Bronco and Bimmer, though it would be sweet to have it rev up on start up every time at a red light or stop sign on a 392.

Another observation - the hood is heavy! Compared to a 2019 Sport JL and a 2020 Rubi JT, the hood is quite heavy. I know it's got the air flow stuff, but wow.

That’s why Redline Tuning hood struts are one of the more popular and first mods on this forum….check them out, easily done in 30 min
