Hey RKKRAWL, I also purchased Rear Sump Oil Pan Kit 77072450AB, But no small parts came with it, so now I'm waiting on the small parts to show up, If you change out the pan would you mind taking some picture's? I'm curious if we will need to change out the oil pump pick up tube and the main studs.

The kit should come with all the parts you need, see the instructions from Mopar that I posted in the oil pan thread. You will need to change 1 main bolt to the supplied 1 with the stand-off and nut, new windage tray, oil pick-up tube, o-ring and bolt, then bolt up the oil pan. Check the previous page for pictures of the oil pan removed from the engine.

I contacted the the dealer ship and there aware they shorted me the small parts in the kit, and are shipping me the small parts at no cost, I read the instructions in my kit, I'm just really curious about the oil pick up tube and main stud, because we have a rear sump oil pan it's just aluminum, the orientation of the oil pump pick up tube, main bolt attachment stud should be very similar in design, If you change out your pan and have time to snap a few pictures that would be great! If not no big deal. Thanks Bud.

Look at the picture of the aluminum oil pan I posted, the oil pick-up tube is cast into the body of the oil pan, not bolted to the block. No bolt for pick-up tube or main bolt stand-off, just bolt up the aluminum pan and windage tray.

Wow I would have said B.S.! I missed your posting of the original aluminum pan. I was wondering why nothing would cross reference, Thanks, that sheds a lot of light on things!

Looks like I am going to have parts trickling in for the next 4 to 6 months. Rear shocks showed up today, ordered Dynatrac Elite HD 60/80 with 300M front inners RCVs, 5:38 gears, 4.5" Rock Krawler Adventure X Long Arm, Fox DSC shocks this week. Now the waiting begins again.
Did you receive your axles yet? I'm looking at the same ones but they have a notice on their website product page now that says it doesn't fit the 392. Did they mention any issues you're going to have to work around during the install?

That notice has been there since day one. According to Dynatrac you have to grind a little on a bracket on the front axle for clearance and some modification has to be done to the rear axle bracketry if you retain the stock suspension or after-market suspension instructions will be slightly off and need to be moved slightly.

Oil pan update: The stamped steel pan will not fit the old 392 motor. The problem isn't in the "missing two rear bolts", it's that they changed the timing cover to a thicker version and the front holes don't line up correctly, that doesn't mean that you can't change it. Just that now you definitely don't know what parts beside a timing case cover you will need. Oh well, gave it the old college try.

Well that SUCK'S about the oil pan, can't ever seem to catch a break, Thanks RKKRAWL for trail blazing and putting out the extra effort.

While I'm waiting for a new stock windage tray to show up so I can put it back together, my Next Venture Motorsports rear bumper showed up. Holes for reverse sensors and back-up flood lights.

Making some progress on the rear bumper, got it partially mounted to the frame but it's like a finger puzzle, you have to start all the bolts first then tighten slowly.

Finished the rear bumper install, now to hook-up the wiring for the rear flood lights.

Check the bottom frame horns for welding burrs, grind down if necessary.
You might need 2 longer frame bolts on the rear most bolt holes.

If you have backup sensors they might not snap all the way in unless you file the flats between the tensioner tabs even with the notches next to the tabs. Then you hear a definite click when you push them into the housing.

Installed the backup sensors with the inward 2 facing up like stock and had to position the outer 2 facing out instead of inward to sense the corners.

You can reach the supplied bolt hole plates through the rear most bottom bolt hole to hold them in position while installing the rear most side bolts.

RKKRAWL, are you having any reverse sensor issues with your spare tire? I’m having intermittent issues with one of mine, dealership service says it’s my spare tire. I do have some rim showing in the camera.
This may help :)

This may help :)

Yep, thanks, I came across the same, I do see quite a bit of wheel in my camera, and I have the Teraflex tire carrier. The camera is pretty much fixed but I think I can get the tire a little closer to the tail gate which would have the camera further away from the tire. Thanks again for the heads up.

Got all the rear lights working and finally got my Next Venture Motorsports skids.

Looks fantastic, I think those exhaust skids are killer! In the past I've pinched my exhaust tips closed (on my JK) and ended up having to chop a couple inches of the tips off :ROFLMAO:

Got the Quake LED turn signals installed today, sequential signals are nice as is the additional fender clearance for the tires.

With all the delays on my Rock Krawler suspension lift and Dynatrac 60/80 axles, I decided to install a Teraflex 1.5" spacer lift for the time being. Initially seems to ride a little rougher than stock but not to bad.
