Problems with the 392 Rubicon

Will do, not a problem for me at this time and I am in no hurry to head for the Stealership. The letter says to reference 'CSN Y28' at the dealer just so ya know.

Sound quality between Sirius and FM. Sirius quality sucks. I contacted Jeep/Uconnect and they said to bring it to the dealership for them to diagnose. I'm at the dealership now. Service advisor said they haven't heard or been notified of any radio quality issues with the 392. However, I know a few owners here have said they've experienced the same thing.

I hope they can fix the camera lines. My dealer said they don't have software yet. Pls advise if your camera gets fixed. Thanks

Not only is camera not fixed but dealer now says I’ll have to leave vehicle all day while they diagnose.
this is bill as the problem has been known for months.
got a recall notice about correction to something related to steering that can deteriorate over time and can cause a fire. I’m gonna talk to service mgr about getting both done at same time.

also on gas I use Costco 93 which is about 2 miles drive is 40 cents lower than street price and rated a top tier product.
after 2600 miles I love it.

My backup camera doesn't have the lines... and sometimes goes black completely. Haven't taken it to the dealer yet.

I had the same issue with the backup lines. There was an update that my radio went through last week and it fixed the issue.

My mistake. Recall is the vehicle may fail to start due to poor ground path to starter. Issue will degrade over time.
reference csn y28 are instructions to dealer.

Recall y 28 replace starter studs. Letter said half hour dealer says longer. This applies only to rubi 392 s

Spoke with corporate customer service was told it should be a month or so and would likely be auto download of software or firmware. Don’t know who to believe. Meanwhile having lotsa fun since I learned how to back up at age 12.

It actually went straight to the radio. One day I parked and the message popped up on the screen saying an update was loading and it would take about 40 minutes, and not to turn on/start the jeep until completed.

I wonder if it's the Uconnect that needs an update or the app on the phone? Seems like not everyone is having this problem leading me to believe it's a software issue.

This fixed my issue. It took about an hour to complete. I took a long country drive to make sure it updated and it so far it has fixed the issues.

Thanks. This is consistent with what corporate customer service said. It’ll just happen when it happens.

Anyone have a loud squeel coming from the transmission bell housing during a cold start? Have 60 miles on it, goes away once its warmed up, haven't gotten a chance to contact dealer.

Almost sounds like a defective serpentine belt. Sometimes you can see with a flashlight if it is glazed (shiny). It can also be slightly stretched, or had a little spill of antifreeze on it. Let us know what the dealer tells you.

Just purchased my 392 love it, but I have a rattle that the dealer says is a bad catalytic converter. Has anyone else heard of this on other 392's ?

I hear a slight rattle on mild acceleration. When do you hear your rattle?

Mostly on light acceleration, sometimes it has happened when waiting in line at a drive thru.

I am not yet ready to take it to a dealer for service with only 200 miles on the odometer. Let me know what the dealer says if you takes yours in for service.
