Ordered 2023 XR

I had a Sarge already go through with order date of June 6th, delivery to dealer on Sept 15th. I have a suspicion that it was pushed through though because it was possibly treated like a converted 2022 order somehow.

Yep, I'm kicking myself a little. I'll own it, it's basically my own fault. I ordered non-XR in april (XR not available). Then when June orders opened, I ordered Sarge XR to replace the non XR order (when I think it was somehow treated as converted since I was getting 'jeep brand' emails about that June order and that order only. I switched color to Sting in August and it was too late to change, so a third order went in. Thought for a second about getting the Sarge from the June order but didn't mess with it.

That last order (August) was in I (inspection) last time I checked so it's at least been built. I hope it doesn't stay in limbo too long. I'm selling off an FJ cruiser soon and need a good winter driver to replace it.

Very interesting, sounds like they may have kept your slot and just made adjustments rather than cancel it at the factory level? Congrats on getting this far, hopefully shipping has picked up…the 2021 I ordered then let go (Non-XR) took over 9 weeks to ship, but that was mostly due to the Stalantis database that got hacked and they had no idea where anything was for weeks!

Again this might look like a fast running train but a lot of holding in "D" from July 14th took place. I'm glad I raised some holy hell during August. Shipping is a whole different beast and I am hoping my good luck so far will continue. No window sticker yet.

Ordered July 15 got an order number a week later a vin from dealer 2 months later and that's about it

I believe Spicer is the supplier for the ring & pinion gears and for some reason that's where the supply chain shortage is. (one of the shortages)

Would this affect all jeeps or just the 392 and 392 XR’s ?

I ordered a non XR in red last July. The progress bar never moved on the build. So looking around and found a hydro blue XR only 2.5 hrs away.
PICKED IT UP LAST SATURDAY! in the last 3 months I’ve sold a built JK, a pro touring convertible 63 nova, SRT Cherokee and selling my built 2020 JLU today.

out with the old in with the new. Wife got a new car and I have the 392.
plus we kept our duramax Dually. Consolidate and upgrade.

now for the mods……hehehehe

I know, I’ve heard and seen the lengthy “shipping” times vary. I’ll be happy if it delivers on time. Only thing that sucks with that Is flying in to pick it up, the flights may be pricey seeing it as thanksgiving weekend. Gotta get me a one way ticket to see the folks at Granger.

Excellent! I was scheduled same day. Went to production on 15th. Still showing E on tracker. Dealer said I‘m I. Wondering if I’m waiting on something like the half doors.

Possibly, i got the halve doors on mine too. I know there’s really no rhyme or reason to these things but hopefully many of ours will start passing through these last few milestones.
