just got word that my 2/7 392XR order got cancelled by jeep and converted to MY23…and here i thought i was close to a production date…

no explanation, just a new POC from dealer saying they would honor original pricing as long as jeep didn’t force them to use a dealer allocation. New VIN to follow as soon as accepted by jeep.
I’ve been watching cryptostickers and there are several XR orders same day or after my 2/7 that have been built in the last couple weeks. Guess i just won the shit lottery.

That's not a good sign because my 12/29 order with Chapman is still sitting in D status.

Well, at least one of them is not a 392 (no soft top only option and you can see the non-392 muffler).

There was another truck behind this one with another on it. The one you are talking about is indeed a regular jeep with XR package. Good observation though.
Picked up from Chapman today! Oh. My. God. This thing is an ANIMAL! So pumped to head to Rausch Creek this weekend and hit my first badge of honor trails in the 392!

Thanks, at least yours finally got built. That’s a great feeling all by itself. We’re on a similar time line. Ordered 11/17 built 5/10 and window sticker 5/12. Shipped two days later. I never got an ETA until last Friday.

Is yours an Xtreme Recon? If so, I think you will ultimately be glad you waited! I know I sure am! I really don’t know that I will have a reason to do many mechanical mods other than maybe bumping up to 37s, which this setup will handle with no mods at all.

What status was your '22 still in & when did you order? I'm just curious since I ordered in Feb and am still in D status for my non-XR and haven't been given that option yet. As long as there's no mark up, I'd honestly be just fine getting a '23 now, but haven't yet been given the choice.

Well, I have to deal with the mark up. I contacted my dealer instead of the other way around. They are letting me apply the deposit I gave them when I signed for my 22, but I'm not getting any price protection since my 22 was nonXR.
Anyway, mine was in 'order received' status. So basically nothing had been done yet. My order went in April 27th just before the banks closed.
If that extra money isn't worth it to you to get XR, then I would just say stay where you are. My personal thought is that if I'm paying that much already, I want the XR, so the extra $ is worth it to me.
