On the news this AM, Possible Electrical fire!

This is unbelievable. I called my local dealership this morning about this issue regarding my 2024 392 and he told me to "check back again at the end of the year when parts will be available..." At this writing it is June.
Thats basically how every recall from every manufacturer goes. They identify the problem and announce it first. Next comes developing a fix, then acquiring the parts.

statsitacally, i am more likely to have my 392 totalled by a distravted drive on their tik tok than this recall issue materializing.
Kust dont see this as a viable risk

math dont lie.

I agree. This fire risk is worrying, but in the same way it is worrying to think we swim with sharks when we get in the ocean waters, or we are followed by mountain lions when hiking. We still swim in the ocean and go hiking.

My apologies for the typos. Iphone fat fingers...

sadly, I think the dealers around my area will do whatever they can to max the recall to cash in... and the max they can even if they do not do anything....I just hope they don't break anything in the process.

Maybe this is what caused my alternator pulley to explode. 🤣

Evidentially I'm not smarter than the connector. I was able to disconnect the larger PS connector and slide the red locking tab for the small connector but for the next step I can't see what surface/tab/etc. needs to be compressed for the final removal. Has anybody done this?
Trying to disconnect to add some dielectric grease as a stopgap.

If they know the time they must have identified a fix……

When I look at it in my Jeep app, it now says parts available.

That's encouraging!

all in all still sounds like a 'no damage: no replace' type of fix

Probably good for everyone that they do. If this affected mine and I was storing indoors, I might be temped to remove the battery ground cable. I would sleep a little better at night.

Yea, this covers them legally.
I just took my 2024 392 in for a check on that recall and it came back with a clean bill of health. In other words, there was nothing wrong with the wiring.

UPDATE: One week after the check was complete at the dealership, the vehicle would not start. The culprit was battery drain when the computer gets caught in a loop. This is insane. Is it the door handle? The battery? The computer? Will report back when the issue is solved.

What specifically did they check?

Brand new 392 experiencing high steering fluid temps as soon as it started getting tested on the trail.
