Official New Color Announced

Jeez...I was really hoping it would have a tinge of green to it (highlighter-esque) as well...that looks just plain Canary Yellow to me. Massive disappointment...and I had a 392 ORDERED in Velo Yellow. Looks like I just might be cancelling and/or trying to get a different color assigned. I only ordered a bit over a week ago...do you think I have a shot at making the change easily??

I'm hoping that greenish hue comes through in the sunlight - press release said metallic, so maybe the sunlight is when we see it...

Call your dealer to ask, I remember seeing someone had to get the district manager involved to change options of an placed order.

That was me... I ordered October 8th. Had VIN a few days later. When they announced HVY last month, I called my dealer to change and they originally said it couldn't be changed once the VIN was assigned. I responded "Why excatly? The VIN does not contain color codes? And since I still don't have a build start date, it could be changed." Long story short, the dealer was unable to do it directly at this point, but they contacted the Regional Rep and he could make the change. The rep did say it could "possibly" push the build - but as we've seen, HVY are already coming off the line...

I still love my Sarge and really have no regrets. Yellow is my favorite color though. If the stars had lined up would've probably gotten HV Yellow XR (if that had been available when I ordered). At this point, if I wanted to change color, I would just get it wrapped in Nacho (Dozer), but the Green and Gold go so well together. Sarge is cool too because of the different hues it takes on in different lighting situations.

Got to ride it with top down for first time this week. Boy is it epic going through a tunnel and getting on the gas.

I think you mean a shred of sympathy...............I think Jeep has plenty of apathy

I think everyone got the idea.....not trying to be smart aleck... Auto correct gets me sometimes too. What really gets me is voice recognition with my thick southern accent

I just couldn't pass up the apathy comment on Jeep

. Somewhat kidding on the apathy thing with Jeep because they seem to get the big stuff right (engine, transmission, etc). Its just little details that they messed up on mine like the crooked exhaust and loose bolt holding down windshield washer bottle.

You are going to have a unicorn when you get your Yellow 392XR...... little bit jealous. But awesome for you and will be worth the wait. Once it's here and broken in, memories of the long wait just vanish.

All good, brother! I know it'll be worth it! Haven't even seen a 392 in the wild yet! Dealer just north of here has a High Velocity Sahara inbound. Going to make a trip when it arrives to grab some photos in the sunlight.

I want to like this color so much since I ordered it...but after much deliberation- I just can't. Granted there's not much to see & compare to in person yet...but with the thread posted here, that yellow looks NOTHING like the greenish-hue that "sold" me on the Jeep build & release pics. I wanted to wait to see one in person...but who knows how much longer they'll even accept orders period? So I jumped in. And it's not like I don't like bold colors...as I'm still in love with my 2015 Sunset Orange JKU Rubi Hard Rock.

Anyway, I ordered the '22 HVY 392 just under 2 weeks ago from my local dealer here in Northern VA (a big one that advertises here..) so I've informed them I want to start whatever process is necessary to make the switch to Sting Gray. Hopefully it'll be a smooth process without much kicking & screaming from them, and I'll let y'all know how it goes...

The color is the hardest decision for me. I test drove the sting gray and liked that color. Hydro blue and sarge green look great too. And they all look a bit different under different lighting. I also liked the firecracker red. Man just too hard when you have to choose one! So I ended up with black, not bold but classic.

So searching 300 miles from every major city I could come up with, I've found only 1 HVY in "stock" and it happens to be just 35 minutes north of here in San Marcos. I'm hoping that if tomorrow is sunny to go get some pics. Supposed to be overcast but it's Texas so you never know...

Hopefully some pictures forthcoming.

Dang I might have to go visit grandma in Hill Country Village and take a little trip up 35 to go see that beauty. Maybe I can buy you a beer @YukonCornelius - you can teach me your ways of patience you legend! Really interested to see this color in person.
