No more XR Package for order…

After talking with Jeep at SEMA, how certain were they about the return of 392 for 2024?

Did the 20th Anniversary 392 Rubicon have same XR axles (dana 44, with 4.56 gears) having 37" tires.
Wouldn't dana 60's be an awesome option...

Am I the only one slightly underwhelmed by the 20th Anniversary concept? Its got a wrap and some knick-knacks on it, but it's basically an XR with 37s, stickers, and red seats?

Not sure what I expected exactly but I'm more bummed that I missed Punk'n Orange than missing the 20th A. Maybe someone can change my mind on this if I missed something...?
well i think there will be a few more options, On board air, 37's, winch, decals, red seats, different grill like the one in the picture. but the price tag might be a lot more. i would not be surprised to see 488's. you can order 488's now on a regular Rubicon non 392. you never know. Ans we were told there will not be a 2024 392 by 3 or 4 different people.

Just came back from SEMA. was a great show. stopped by Jeep 3 or 4 times to rattle their cage a bit
about me waiting for my Jeep. somewhat helpful. With that being said we asked about the XR and the
20th anniversary. The XR will return and from what they say the 20th Anniversary might be available mid to
end of year. what does that do for us that have a 23 and did not have an option for the Anniversary. We are
screwed. we will be able to get the Hood decal and the 20th anniversary grill and whatever else they decide to
add on, but we will end up paying a hefty fee to have things put on by the dealer. i am sure most can be done
at home but will not have the factory backing. for stuff like the on-board air or any other bigger options. Now that being said things can change so please don't take what i am saying as 100% fact. it was funny that we asked why they
dont have a option for a winch on the 392. we were told you can't put one on. that was funny and we had to correct her
and bring her to the big boss of the show. he set her straight. here are a few pictures of the 20th they had at the show. View attachment 14367View attachment 14368
There is a guy on Facebook that appears to be legitimate. He said there was no one near SEMA that has any really knowledge of the future of delivery times, 392, XR, or 20th. Says its an aftermarket parts show (it is) and therefore Mopar is there as a parts brand, not Jeep as a manufacturer. Totally different. If that is true, those people were so tired of answering questions they had no real knowledge of they just made up answers for fun. I've done it.

They could have done better. I would have at least said "No more XR for 23, but there will be a 20th anniv, but they won't produce it until 24. But they won't be making any other 392's that year. And I think the 20thA will have a hellcat".

If we have a wish list...dana 60's, 37" tires, with hellcat.

i have to disagree. there were a few guys there that were very informed. but again, just my opinion. but we did find a few that had no clue. was told by one that you can't get a winch on a 392...we had to laugh because the 392 they had on display had the winch. also here is a better picture of the hood decal

So you are saying because there was a winch on a 392 display at an aftermarket show there must be a factory option for it?

Well since this was in the Jeep Display and not some aftermarket booth yes. and it is a package. just like my Power wagon that came with a winch from the factory. i am guessing you have never been to SEMA. they actually show you the options so when you order you are aware of what you are getting. and there is a big display of all the options that are available. hope that answers your question.

Well Jeep and Dodge had a huge presence there as usual. I hope you got to look at the pictures
of the 2023 20th Anniversary. Gm and Ford and Honda were not at the show. and yes, it is not a manufacture's show but Toyota and VW Dodge Jeep and many more were there to show their support. here is the picture of the Dodge support
as well a picture of the display of the options you can get on your jeep. hope this clears stuff up. have a great day.

Yep, those are available at your Jeep/Dodge parts department.

and they are also available as a option when ordering a new car, or as a special model. like the 392 Anniversary.
or the 75th Anniversary Power wagon. you can't have the 75th put on a regular Dodge truck, it was a special order for the Power Wagon only.
and i would never buy a Winch or Lights or Bumpers at the dealership after i picked up my new jeep. i would only order then as a option, because i can get the same bumper or winch or lights much cheaper at 4-wheel parts or online.
again, my opinion

Thanks for the pics. XR got removed so I hope the future jeep to have V8, Dana 60, and at least 37s and waiting to order one when they are out.

Selfishly... I hope none of that happens! I want to keep mine and be able to say it was the baddest factory Jeep ever built. Otherise, I'm going to have to sell it to get the new one. 😆

I'd love someone to come along and prove me wrong, because I love learning new things, but there has never been a Wrangler offered with a winch as a factory option, and I do not see a 20th Edition 392 Wrangler changing that.

The closest thing to this was the JKU Red Rock Edition, which was a limited run of 50 units. The 50 units were split in allocation; 25 of them were offered to select buyers and 25 of them went to dealers. The ones that went to dealers were basically stock Rubicon Hard Rocks with some subtle changes (some of which were then incorporated into the Recon edition). If you were one of the select 25 buyers that had an opportunity to buy one, you could opt for it to be sent to (Richard) Petty's Garage to be upfit with lift, wheels, tires, tire carrier, and winch, like appeared on the Red Rock Edition concept.

Comparing RAM trucks like the Power Wagon to Jeep Wranglers for the sake of making a point about a factory-optioned winch is dumb and pointless.

I hope none of you are holding your breath for Dana 60s, either, because you'll probably die in the process.

I don't actually see why anyone cares about a 20th Anniversary Edition 392, especially owners of 2023s (which is the 20th anniversary of the Rubicon, regardless of a decal package). Look at the 2013 10th Anniversary Rubicon and see how well it stacks up against standard 2013 Rubicons with the same options and mileage. Hint: it doesn't really do any better on the used market. The red seats some of them are equipped with can actually be a turn off for a lot of buyers (myself included).

That fugly grille they've come up with for the 20th Anniversary? Hell no.

That gaudy hood decal? No thanks.

A "20" next to the Rubicon sticker on the hood? Womp, womp.

With ya! Unless they throw a V8 in a Bronco and really start a back and forth, I don’t think any of that will happen. We’ll see. Not holdin‘ my breath. I think we got about as ultimate a factory jeep will ever be.

V-8 in a Bronco will not happen, and I have that from a reliable source in the industry.

Ford's Raptor team is full of simps. Look no further for proof than the Raptor R.

The “Fault Of Reseach and Development” rearing its ugly head, again. When Ford began designing the Raptor R, a truck meant to compete head-to-head with a truck from a competitor that emblazoned A T-REX EATING A RAPTOR on the air box, the ONLY move was to beat the TRX in every empirical category… especially if the resulting product was going to cost almost 40% more to start.

It may be 500 lbs lighter than the TRX, but it will leave your wallet $31K lighter than a TRX at each of the truck’s respective starting MSRPs… for less power and less torque. Ford apologists can talk about power-to-weight ratios all they want, but what happens when we start talking about power-per-dollar ratios?

Plus, not differentiating the Raptor R’s looks significantly from the standard Raptor because (from what I’ve read) they didn’t want regular Raptor owners to regret not owning the more powerful truck (aka they don’t want to hurt regular Raptor owners’ feelings)… Total simp move.

Ultimately, the Raptor R still calls the TRX “daddy.”
