JEEP ISSUES

What I've seen is many posts on this and other forums about spurious unrelated driver display warnings popping up either intermittently or constantly, where the CAN Buss connector behind the glove box was changed and it resolved the issues. This includes my brother's recently purchased 2019 Wrangler when it had the radiator fan, A/C, and other systems quit, various annunciations, etc. My brother was sorta half pissed, half ' I told you so' (about all the electronics, since he's super old school), I told him it's likely a central fault in the CAN Buss, and the "green/Star/CAN Buss connector" has gotten a lot of traffic on Mopar products. He pissed and moaned a week or so, and I just ordered a CAN Buss connector and gave it to him. He was so dejected that he didn't change it for a couple weeks, until I kept prodding him. Once it was changed, magically, everything was fine.
I think they have changed or tried various cables , the radio and its module have been changed , heat seat module has been changed , camera processing module has been changed , now they think the radio they put in is bad , it’s an endless parts change out , that has solved not one thing . They never update me , I have to call to get any new info , bad or good .o hate to say the 2 vehicles I’ve had the most problems with r both a 2019 ram and this 2025 wrangler , I had a tundra with 375000 miles no issue , 2 raptors no issues , 2 lexuses no issues . This is the last jeep ram product I will ever ever buy .

Sorry you're having such a bad experience with your jeep. I understand the feeling. My 2018 3.6 engine shit the bed 2 years ago at 34k miles. I replaced it myself with a 2024 Gladiator take-out from AMW4x4. When I first bought the 2018, it steered like a 40 year old U-haul truck. It was so bad, I stopped at a front end shop on the drive home. My wife refused to drive it after one drive. There were many other "little" things I fixed over the years. My wife says it's a POS. I swore off new Jeeps. Then I forgot and bought the 2026 392. I'm a sucker.

I will be honest , my wife hated the 2024 raptor , so I caved and bought the 392 , biggest mistake I ever made , it drives like shit , handles like shit , and now seems to be built like shit . Live an

Roaniecowpony, I would have to totally agree with you, I too had a 2018 JL with that wonderful Pentacrap engine, in the first 50k, 2 sets of camshafts and rockers, at 60k it was starting to tick again so I quickly bailed and sent it down the road. Plus, the aluminum steering box made it wander like a drunk 20 dollar hooker, the electric fans always sounded like a jet fighter taking off.

Then I sold it off I made and even bigger mistake, I bought a new 25 Colorado Z71. This was the epitome of a POS with its 2.7l turbo sewing machine motor. This thing couldn't even tow 3k without overheating. Want to talk about electrical gremlins ? I think this truck was ghost buster central. The metal in the roof was so thin it would buckle if you took it through an automated carwash. Plus, It spent more time at the dealership then in my garage, I finally said enough when it left my wife stranded and sold it back to the dealership.

After the Colorado fiasco, GM was dead to me to. I too fell pray to the glitz and glitter of the 392 in the Wrangler, It seemed like the last good old fashioned engine I had any faith in and the ultimate in a Jeep. But it too is not without fault as it has a number of intermittent connect gremlins that requires reboots from time to time.

One other thing I wanted to mention: Your right on with the 18/19 JL's having big issues with the green canbus block in the glove compartment. To Jeep's credit they finally changed their supplier and fixed that one, it only took them 2 years to figure it out.
Keep in mind this is where those using a Nolimitz have it plugged in, just let that one settle in when you think about additional electrical gremlins.

Ok, with all of that said, Auto manufacture these days are looking only to make vehicles that can live long enough to make it to the warranty expiration, were simply along for the ride as long as that might last..... Of course a Honda's not much fun to drive but at least it will get you there, lol. Hang in there Great One 99!

In further reading, the LVDS is not the CAN Buss connector. I have a strong hunch the CAN Buss connector is your problem. The green one is about $60 online maybe $80-90 at the dealer. Takes minutes to change.

i was under the inprerssion they fixed that isue around 2024,that being said ,u woud think the dealer tried that or tested it

Check out this helpful youtube:

I find a hard to believe they wouldn’t check that. Am I giving the deal too much faith? , but I was reading up and exactly my symptoms heated seats that turn on and then shut right off cameras that don’t work and radio glitches common to dominator seems to be that connector
Seems like the same symptoms. Yes, I think you may be giving them too much rope. Is it a certainty that the green Star connector is the problem? NO. It could be anything from a shorted signal wire about anywhere in the CAN system wiring to this block. But this is a place to start. Change this part, then, if it's not solved, the next step is to disconnect each of the plugs into the block one by one, until the error stops. As one of the videos pointed out, when the error is occuring, start removing each connector to the green star connector block, one by one, reconnecting each one before disconnecting the next, until the error goes away. This tells you that it's that particular circuit that has a problem or short.

I believe they did what they call a pinpoint test , no shorts , no broken wires , the right amount of resistance,

My dad had a Chrysler 200 hard top convertible. It would not allow the top to be remotely lowered if the seat was fully in the rear position. The techs replaced all kinds of parts until my father discovered it worked perfectly if the seat was moved forward 1/4”, but failed when in the rearward position.

Once the techs (regional and national) discovered that fact they then found the issue was the routing of a wire harness. In the full rearward position the seat track was pinching the wires and shorting the top controls.

All that is to say intermittent electrical issue are extremely hard to diagnose.

I hope you are able square the issues away and begin enjoying the 392!

this is not intermittent, neither work .

When you had your Tazer installed, were you using the setting that turned on both the driver and passenger heated seats?

This is exactly what’s going on. It was actually a TSB on it that they performed, but did not fix it.tbey also replaced both the heated seat module and camera module .

So I got a kind of an update from the Dealer. It’s in a holding pattern right now. It’s actually been escalated to Engineering. They think it’s a one off meaning no one else has ever had this problem and they have no fix for the solution as of right now, they think it might be software related so they may have to rewrite some software could take a week could take till 2027
