What's the one thing you dislike about your wrangler 392!

Then how do you drive with doors off? If this is true I guess the computer cancels that feature once the wiring harness has been disconnected from the door. I am going to love the power of this Jeep but I also love my 06 that has zero wiring to the doors, no traction control, no ABS, no seat belt warning (it was very easily disabled).
I haven't taken the doors off yet. I guess the computer can tell. We had a 07 Rubicon. Loved it. But this 392 is soooooo much more. Just all around a better jeep.

I agree. Every time I drive it, even after three months of ownership, I'm amazed at how well it performs. As you said..."just all around a better Jeep."

It’s cancelled with the doors off. The Tazer does disable it but you have to activate the Nav in motion feature every time you restart. It doesn’t remember it. I think there is a quick button sequence to activate it quickly

I know it says "...the one thing..." but the complete lack of skid plates kinda sux. Oh, and that dumb oil pan which is just asking to be left somewhere on a trail. Looks like my Jeep just missed the change over.

Can anyone explain why the steel pan isn't a crossover part? I thought we all had the same engine.

See @CBH 's thread on "Exposed Oil Pan Plug..." There was a switchover to a new cover just before MY'21 ordering ended - about the time XR's started showing up.

But like any good salesmen will tell you, it's free for 29 days just once a month you have to pay!o_O
I did notice on my last statement that the daily interest was $3.92. I need to take a pic. Not bad, less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

I dont have one yet but I really dont like the gold tow hooks. I have already ordered replacements on Ebay.

Which ones did you order?? I've been debating between replacing them or just painting them.

I could paint but I found pretty cheap takeoffs. The red ones tend to go for more than the black. For now I have a red rear and two front black tow hooks that are like they came from the parts counter. Total about $75 shipped. I wonder if the gold/bronze ones will go for much.

I would like to get rid of all the gold/bronze but that is impossible so I'm debating on how far to go. All I know is the tow hooks will be the first thing I change.

Nothing really, I think the 392 is dang near a perfect vehicle but if I had to proclaim something it would be the governor.

my only compliant is should've came with 707hp! J/K machine is Great!

My complaint is the exhaust sound and thump when it cycles back and forth from 4cyl. I don't see any benefit in cycling into 4 cyl for a few seconds at a time.

Can you explain why this thump happens in detail? I don't have mine yet but would be good to know.

@Viking Jeeper
"Can you explain this?"

Let's say your Jeep is parked outside and you go to move it inside your garage, you have to wear your seat belt to move the Jeep. If you don't, it will automatically brake until you buckle in, put the vehicle back to park, then back to drive before you can continue.
I don’t have to put my seatbelt on to move my jeep.
I move it all the time even with the door open. I wash and clean it most every day.

Do you have any warnings turned off by a Tazer Mini or something similar?

It won’t let you go in reverse with door open. I have it bypassed on the Tazer but you have to activate the live function menu every time you start up, it doesn’t remember the setting. Lucky you Tree, they must have forgotten to program that in yours. Maybe they forgot the MDS also, that would be a score!

Was it here or somewhere else I read that if you put the transmission manually in 8th gear the MDS is disabled? It works like that on my GMC Sierra also.
