Had the SteerSmart track bar bracket installed on Friday. I have a RockKrawler 2.5in lift kit and the Fox ATS steering stabilizer. 37x13.5 Nitto Trail Grapplers on 20x10in rims. I have 23000 miles on this set up minus the Steer Smart bracket.
I felt like my Jeep drove better than any Jeep Iāve ever driven, even at speeds 85-90mph. But it clearly still had a trace of play and would still feel a little squirrelly going through rough interstate construction. I hadnāt done any mods lately so this seemed like a logical choice.
My first impression is very positive. It feels more like a truck with oversized tires than a Jeep with oversized tires. Really tight through construction, tight and stable through turns with dips. Only had on for a couple of days so no off road or flex but will report back, but daily driving its better for sure with the heavy set up tire wheel combo.
The negative: the bracket was rubbing my spring when the spring compressed. We grinded the edge/lip of the bracket down pretty aggressively and painted. Much more clearance it seems, definitely not rubbing while driving on the road. Gonna flex it later this week. The bracket is very beefy so I think a little trimming wonāt affect its performance. Pictures make it look closer than it is, but before the trim it was pretty damn close.
