🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

Today had it re-geared to 4.88s and since they had it also installed the Steer Smarts Yeti XD. I didn’t know it’d come with new diff covers as well and didn’t notice until I got home. Nice surprise.

The 4.88 are perfect even with 40s IMHO seems better than it was with 38’s and 4.56

Wasn't going to do this until later but summer is coming and with the vegas heat, ordered the sot headliner and sunshade. Looking forward to see if it reduces the noise even by a couple of db, let alone insulating from the heat a tad bit.

Top open is a great feeling, better with the sun shade to get a semi open air feeling without the sun beating you down and noise/wind in the rear seats should be a bit more calmer. Not associated with HotHeadLiners, but they do have a sale going on that just started within the past day or two.

Forgot to mention, was running oem axle shafts in the rear, have had the revolution rear axles shafts sitting around for a while and got lazy, paid my local goto shop to have it installed as garage space has been limited and it's getting hot now.

For now I'm running 37s and love the 4.88s. Holds gears far better and it appears I'm getting better gas milage. Too early to tell for sure obviously, but I did set my trip B odometer at the change to measure over the long term. May go up 38s in the near future. Last year bought my gf a '24 JLRU X with factory 4.88s and the stock 315s feels great for a 3.6L. She wants 37s so lift and new shoes coming soon.

Removed rear axle. Installing Currie HD60s f/r. Nothing too crazy. Staying 5 lug and 4.88s. Rear should be here Monday. Front prob a couple weeks out.

Putting in the SOT sunshade and insulator. Thought I had gotten the wrong sunshade and left a message with hothead liners.

Within an hour on a Sunday, owner called me back and let me know of the changes they made. Great customer service!

Also ran waynes world yesterday at sand hollow, plenty of fun lines out there.

I need to order those Metalcloak rear bumper stiffeners one of these days. Next sale they have I should do that. Looks like you also have the RokBlokz rear mud flaps, good to know they both fit.

Love their products and customer service, used their suspension on my past rig, chose a different route for the 392 just to try it out. On my 3rd rear bumper by them. JLURD, Bronco, and now my 392 as it's the only one that relocates the tow harness and still proven on the rocks/ledges.

Not the rear. It's a low pinion. The rear has a different style skid. The front axle I got is a high pinion and has it.

Rotated in my spare which i haven't done on past rigs but should have. Finally got my milwaukee drawer in, attached to the bottom side of the American Adventure Lab cargo shelf. Now it'll allow me to get to my 4 hose setup without opening the window as it used to sit in one of the packouts on top of the shelf.

I may adjust the shelf higher so that only the bottom drawer clears the window while closed, that way I get a bit more room underneath for a bag and other recovery gear that I usually take on the dirt.

ordered a Adams 1350 front driveshaft. Got some vibes after AEV 3" lift and 38's. Hoping that solves it.

I did do this recently, and yes, you do need a tazer and dtcm both. 2hi does show up on dash and off road pages.

Built my own 1 inch ball, since BPM doesn't offer it in this application. Much more stable and I think cosmetically a bit cooler.

Yes it was swapped and yes to needing a Tazer too.

I’ve been getting locking differential errors on the dash but they function just fine.
