🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

Test fit a passenger side Challenger style coil cover on the Jeep (passenger looked to be worst for interference). Fits with some trimming on the forward side of cover. I personally prefer it to the gold/carbon look Jeep 392 covers.

I am curious how the drivers side went and if you still have these on and are happy with them over the gold ones? I was thinking of doing the exact same thing because I completely agree that they look better than the gold ones. It seems that the Challenger ones have a small "ear" on the front for lack of a better word that may need to be trimmed off.

Driver side required some trimming at the front as well. I still like them.

I installed the Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform with Backbone. Roam case and Baja Designs LP9 spot lights will be mounted soon.

How did you attach the lights on the front bumper I'd like to do the same set up

Today: got in the 392 AEV today and hiked the Labs in the snowy N Rockies---- but here's our Malibu house to the right.

320 degree view, 31 years of love n happiness, I saved it twice, but at age 70 walking with a cane, couldn't have dragged 2" double wall and saved it again -- better to be in the Rockies now.

Flashbacks all night long last night, saving it once in the massive 80 mph fire of 1993, shoulda died, with my son's - who was 2 weeks old taken away by Madame -- Godfather and again in the easier 2007 fire by myself, massive insurance damage in both cases, but never left off living there.

-- even victorious left scars I can feel years later

My trees did so well - note they're green leaved, so healthy you cant tell the house is gone. When i saved it in 93 and 07 every leaf was burned brown. Those green leaves tell me the 93/07 Sabre

could've saved it again, although my neighbours tell me it was blowing 98 m ph, whereas 93 only 80 mph, a mere thought problem now.

Imagine me walking with a cane, my lack of balance and broken neck now dragging a 2" double wall hoseline!! So much better to be BC Nordic skiing the Labs in the Rockies.

My ocean containers didnt burn yet again!!

I spent Friday night yet again flashing back all night the brutal life threatening battles of 93 and 07 to save that house. I was 2 wins, fires 2 losses, but it took prep and balls. We had a wake for it, we loved that place. End of chapter of life.

i actually didn't buy them. I ran into a local guy who "painted" them using body color paint and the resin used for Rhino liner bedliners. He used a technique so they came out smooth like typical body paint. He claims it is more durable than powder coating. Since mine will never see off road use, this finish worked out fine for me. I paid $250 for 5 rings and considered that a fair price.

Prior to getting mine painted, I hunted for months to find someone who could powder coat them as I consider powder coating quite durable. Problem was....NO ONE had the powder in that color (2023 Jeep Earl Gray code PGP). BUT.....the powder is now available from Prismatic Powders. All you need is a local powder coater willing to order the powder.

Prismatic Powder PSB-11523 They call it "Jeep Earl"

The powder is relatively inexpensive. They even sent me a swatch and the swatch is an exact match to my Jeep. I get a lot of compliments on the Earl color as well as comments about the rings.

Damn! That's some series audio, must sound epic!!! Side question, why is the dash red like a regular rubicon? Maybe not all years are the same, but mine is a dark gray.

that is a good word to describe how it sound. it's worlds apart from the "premium" Alpine system. It's way to expensive and a beast to install......but if you can afford one.......get it!

I am not versed enuff to know exactly which ones came that way and why...........but.....the reason mine is red is because it was part of the 20th Anniversary package. I bought this particular model in part because of the red dash but moreso because it's the only model (to my knowledge) that came with the red/black leather seats. not all red like the 2024s and not all blk like most 392s came. I bought it for the "rarity" of the model...........and get lots of compliments every where I go.

Easy. I just used two existing bolts. Just one per light. Of course now I cannot take off the bumper extensions, but I’m fine with that.
