My wife has been going through a beginner offroading class for ladies over the last few months. They spent 2 days in a local shop learning about what everything does and yesterday they all went to a local park for some live action. Originally she was going to take our TJ but it was supposed to just be some light trails and simulating a recovery and she wanted to take the 392. Against my better judgement, I said OK.

It turned into this. Front left fender is wonky from hitting the ledge and both left wheels are smoked. The beadlock was completely stripped of paint and both wheels have huge scratches, I guess from rock pebbles in the mud when she was trying to get out. It took a tractor and 2 Jeeps pulling to get it out. There's mud under this thing that'll never come out.

😤🤦🏻‍♂️😤

She had a blast though and that's all that matters. I'll get it cleaned up this week, don't think anyone of significance was damaged.

On the bright side, I'd been looking for an excuse to ship it to AEV for the JL370 kit so I guess this is it.

It can always be worse, at anytime on the road you could get hit by some meat stick trying to tik tok their new favorite pronoun and complaining that there was not enough cinnamon swirl in their pumpkin spice mocha latte Frappuccino with a half twist of ridiculousness after an exhausting day at school studying to get a masters degree in non-binary rabbits rights on Mars all the while trying to decide if they should put regular or super electricity in their Tesla.

Jeep of the month if I've ever seen one

i was wondering the same. Who the hell was running the class and why arent they responsible for this mess?
To be fair, she said this was the 2nd time she got stuck. The first she just got "a little stuck." She said she was mad she didn't get through, thought she could even though nobody else had, so tried again and it ended up like this lol. So probably her fault more than anyone else. She had fun though so it's whatever.

Hahaha! I just spewed pumpkin spice mocha latte Frappuccino with extra cinnamon right out of my nose while reading this!

A little sketchy so just send it? She's a keeper. We've all done it, it's a part of the overall learning curve.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't pretty mad at first, just at the whole situation, not so much just her, but after getting into it yesterday and checking it out, it's fine. Going to be a pain getting the mud out, probably will never get it all out, but it's a freaking Jeep. Whatever.

She finally told me this morning that the owner of the property said he'd own the place 17 years and it was the worst he'd seen a Jeep stuck. He gave her a t-shirt for it. 💀

Still trying to figure out how this is justification for the AEV JL370... A little powdercoat on those XR wheels and rings and you'll be right as rain.

I agree. My 392 makes the squeaking noise for 30 seconds to a minute after a cold start up and I told my wife the only way to get rid of it is by giving the AEV treatment.
I have not yet owned ANY 392 that does not make that noise. Man is it annoying! I chased it for a while on our Grand Cherokee SRT and eventually gave up. Still there after replacement of the water pump (for a leak) and idler pulley.

That said, I cannot imagine wanting to spend that kind of money on any AEV package! I must be missing something because I don't really understand how that company is still in business with those prices.

Sorry. My sarcasm didn't come across well. Lol.

We all value different things differently. What is worth our money and what is not is very subjective. While you see no value in the AEV kit, others do...and that, is the beauty of life...diversity.

You're my hero.
