So who has an order in for a MY24 392? … and what is your status?

So while we wait… just a few things I wish they would have kept for 2024 but didn’t:

Dedicated interior dimmer.
Central round vents. Don’t know how they would’ve accomplished it, but it was a trademark of the jeep with round vents.
25 bolt beadlock rings (although those disappeared for ‘23)
Mole panels behind driver and passenger seats.
Trail Rail system.

Just a slight observation: the round vents are not as that long of a tradition as one would think; they were introduced in 2007 with the JK platform.

Nonetheless, the mix of round and rectangular vents is a tad uninspired. The JM will probably go with rectangles all the way.

Think it more about the uninspired mix-match, as you said. But for the better part of 2 decades, the round vents (which were said to be influenced by the round gauges and round headlights (after the rectangle TJ debacle in the 90's) of YJs and Willys of old, set it apart from the rest of the saturated SUV market at the time. Remember those TJs? Still don't believe they knew what they wanted to be when they grew up: a mainstream SUV, as indicated by the car-like dash? Or something else?

Guess I'm still attached to the inline round gauges that sprawled horizontally across the dash rather than a cluster, even with the squarish bezel that surrounded. Think that's why I'm so partial to the central round vents. But hey, us dinosaurs must either adapt or go extinct, right?

Call the dealer to see if it was delivered. I thought I read on here or the JL forum that when that happened, it had been delivered. Might not be 100%, but at least worth a phone call.

What does it mean when your estimated delivery on the tracker goes from 9/18 to 9/13 and now on 9/13 it says TBD?

That happened to me too 2 weeks ago. I called and the dealer had it. I imagine that means your jeep may almost be there!! Congrats Mario.

Ok, the “Wave” Jeep Tracker just moved from Confirmed (06/22/23) to Scheduled (09/15/23) just in time for the UAW strike! My salesperson says his rep shows my 392 scheduled for shipping on 10/04/23! Whom do I believe???

If it makes it off the line it's no longer a UAW delayed issue. If it's scheduled now it likely won't go into production until the strike is over as the Toledo plant is one of the ones there is a shut-down. That's info from others so I can't verify any of this myself as an FYI.

Granger has been less than responsive from what I've seen. Any communications since I ordered has been initiated by me, not them sending me updates like they said. NOW I'm not knocking them, Cause I know it's a small outfit doing the bulk internet sales, and hell we are getting a big ol discount. and I'm VERY appreciative of that.

Do you happen to have access to numbers for how many 392's were sold in the previous couple of years? I'm guessing 4-7k a year but it would be nice to have a more solid number.
