Rotopax

I use the RSE straps and they have been trouble free since the day I bought them… unfortunately they would be easy to steal so I wouldn’t get them if you park outside.

Another great option is from Seasucker. I have a friend that is a dealer and those things are amazing! Honestly, the windows will give up before they do!

I have several accessories and I made this holder for my buddy using a Seasucker mount, some PVC coupling, and a lathe.

My record is 164 mph, with two road bikes on top of my AMG via Seasuckers.

🤘 I've had my brother-in-laws Trackhawk up to that (265 km/h which is exactly 164 mph) with my Thule skibox on it. That was in Germany tho...barley over the recommended max speed. 😁

Posting here too.

Was able to install the Teraflex high lift jack mount and Rotopax mount to support a 3 gallon Rotopax. Teraflex states the Rotopax mount is compatible with the JL high lift part number. Not the case directly. I had to find something to make up a gap. I also drilled new holes for the Rotopax base plate to fit the 3 gallon. A 2 gallon fits just fine with the existing holes.
The thing I used to make up the gap was a Ram 1500 rear swaybar relocation bracket. Worked pretty well. Had to enlarge some of the holes…nice.

Edit: Just a note, if you have a high lift jack mounted, the Rotopax plate will mount to the jack with no modification. It will not mount directly to the JL adapter like it would on the JK.

Very nice! Does it hit the taillight when the door is fully opened?

Just thinking what about cutting a section of a high lift to use as a spacer. No offense to those who love their high lift jacks. I’ve had mine since 1982 never needed it. Bottle jack or scissor jack

Recovered a rollover on Holy Cross and my buddy, Nicholas, used the guy’s jack to push up the guy’s roof so he could pull him out.

I’ve never needed one and I never would have thought to use this guy’s jack for that… but Nick works as an estimator at a high-volume body shop. We weren’t with my YouTube friend but the group that showed up (10:33 in video) once we had him flipped over did. The guy told us that this was his 7th rollover!

You’ll see the other guys in the video do the same thing and my jeep is in the background. We bulled him down to the lower section and bailed because we were losing daylight. This was my second rollover recovery, in 2 years, on this trail.

The 2 gallon can be opened fully. I do have Oracle flush taillights.

The 3 gallon would need to be removed to open fully.

There’s some room to adjust depending how much one would want to modify the Teraflex bracket and Teraflex Rotopax mount.

Ok that’s a good use for the high lift Jack

It was definitely useful, but it was also the first time I’ve ever seen anyone use one on the trail. For me, I’ll still stick with my little bottle jack because it takes up less space, which frees up room for more fuel, and has always worked for me 👍

Where are you guys buying your Seasucker mounts at?

Thanks. Just ordered a set. Now I'm set for the Dusy Ershim Trail later this summer.

We always use the Rockslide Engineering spare tire strap. Super strong and no worries of damage on the trail.

Easy to fill at that location but doesn’t the passenger side can interfere with any thing when tailgate is open ? I do see flush mount tail lights
