redbeard719's 392 build...

I did move the BSM sensors from OEM to the Morimoto XB lights. There's a bit of disassembly required of the OEM lights, but it's all just Philips head screws. Not at all difficult, just takes a little bit of time.

Installing the sensors on the new lights is straight-forward. Morimoto makes the same style cradle that the OEM lights have for the sensor itself.

I haven't driven the Jeep yet since the swap - based on the positioning of the sensors and how closely they mimic the OEM light placement, I'm not expecting any issues.

I'll follow up either way once I get it out on the road!
I’m also interested in the BSM. I replaced the OEM with the Oracle brand and it only flashes for the camping trailer but not blind spot traffic. OEM is so UGLY so instead of going back I just turned off BSM.

Yes, unfortunately. I'm not aware of any other way to verify which version is installed. FWIW, mine is a late 2023 MY. It's my understanding the switch was made sometime around then.
Thank-you

I finally have an update on the BSM sensors in the Morimoto tail lights after a week of cruddy weather.

The BSM sensors work great in the Morimoto tail lights! I didn't notice any difference from how they performed in the Morimoto's when compared to the OEM XR tail lights.

That is great news, thank you for the feedback. Those BSM really help no matter how many times I check my mirrors.

I’ve had the full Goose Gear Stealth platform since late last August. I finally got around to installing it today. It’s no surprise it’s made from birch plywood, but the quality is outstanding. As it should be, considering the price!

I’m glad to have a nice flat deck in the back for gear and my two golden retrievers. The DirtyDog cargo liner will still fit really well and now I won’t lose all the storage under the seats by having them folded down.

It’s just my wife and I - the dogs are the only back seat riders. No need for those rear seats for us!

Why didn’t you just buy a two door? You’d have a shorter wheelbase for wheeling and still have plenty of space if you removed all the crap behind the driver like this.

Then he wouldn't be part of the forum 😉
