Problems with the 392 Rubicon

@Viking Jeeper and @YukonCornelius .....
Whoopsie daisy ...My bad.... Im not selling it.... Im adding a wagoneer in a couple months.. my parents are a few hrs away and i want a bigger vehicle with more comfort "doodads" in it for traveling. Plus, the exhaust sound is really eating away at me so using the 392 as a daily driver isnt always thrilling . Sometimes i just want to go low pro and not get so much attention.

I like the exhaust sound, almost never in quiet mode.

Just purchased my 392 love it, but I have a rattle that the dealer says is a bad catalytic converter. Has anyone else heard of this on other 392's ?
i posted about this sound months ago. i could not tell where it cam from and though that it was from the transfer case. the dealer told me that this was in the exhaust muffler with a stuck actuator valve he didnt mention the catalytic converter , I'll see when my part comes in (its been on order for 5 months)

I have my 392 for a month now and i have noticed the muffler is tilted to the right. I keep ignoring how it looks and told to myself that perhaps that it is okey. Until I realized that this jeep is so expensive and those folks (Jeep production) do not pay attention to something like this. The two exhaust pipes located at the left side are touching the frame. I have already brought it in to the dealership where i bought it. The service advisor told me that he had ordered the bracket that would correct the alignment (fit) of this muffler. So, for those folks who are still waiting for their order...pay attention to this potential muffler issue...
I am curious if you ever got the bracket put on to straighten out the muffler? I have the same issue!

I had/have an interesting issue with my 392, I have just over 10000 miles on it, 37x13.5x20, Regeared to 4:56, JL Tazer and PC. I drive it like a race car.
We color matched my brake Calipers a few weeks ago so it was on a lift for about a week. When I started driving it around again I was hearing a loud clunk on decel/braking then again on acceleration. I could feel the vibration of the clunk. To the dealer…the bolt holes on the brackets of the lower control arms on the frame are being “waddled out” on both sides seemingly from the power/torque being transferred. The first round of engineers recommended a frame replacement! Yes I said frame replacement. It made it up to the master engineers and they said to just tighten the bolts. No more noise for now. I’ll find out how much they torqued the bolts this week. I have a lift kit coming, I think I’m gonna reinforce or replace those paper thin brackets or possibly just go to a long arm, I wasn’t planning on that tho.

Dayum! Frame replacement at 10,000 miles? Hope it was a fluke and they just weren't torqued to spec.

Once they're sufficiently wallowed, tightening is a bandaid solution. Take a close look at how bad they are.

@BenLandry I am sorry to hear about your issue. Couple of suggestions. Shouldered bolts? To take up some of the space? Maybe sleeve the bolts?

Also for the rest of us, do you know if the bolts that wallowed are threaded? Threaded the whole length of the bolts? If so that is bad bad and I know what I will be doing very soon… replacing those bolts.
