Reading all these makes me so excited. Glad to know the suspense is killing all of you and not just me.

Ordered 8/12, got a VIN on 8/16 thru the dealer. Tracker is still stuck on order confirmed though, but Crypto Stickers shows it as a real VIN though.

Order date was June 7th. Dealer says build date shows 9/15 at the moment.

Well, the real race is who takes delivery first though... These are small and meaningless wins. May the stars be for both of us to be sitting in our rigs by end of 2022!

I believe there are people who have posted about theirs being in the build process. Not sure about any ship dates yet.

I switched color so they had me put in a new order, but this is from my original order.

My order had gone to scheduled for production which is apparently to late too change the color (they had the local rep working on it).

New VON/VIN. They did not charge me another deposit. I just filled out new paperwork with my new order, signed that, and they put the order in based on the prior deposit.

Granted they have some high dealer fees, but my general impression of Koons is that they are just there to sell a bunch of Jeeps, not nickel and dime people. Interestingly, if that is from my June order, I had put in for XR but that pic shows non XR wheels (yes I know there is a disclaimer on the tracker about pic may not be representative). However, tbh, I just care that I get the color/jeep that I want eventually. I don't mind the wait (that much).

Do you think they would add the half doors?
What about changing from a 392, to a regular Rubicon? Would they transfer my deposit?
Just curious if you go any pushback?

I got the smallest bit of pushback. At first they said color couldn't be changed. I mentioned that people on forums had their color changed after order. At that point, they contacted the regional rep, but it was too late apparently since the jeep had gone to scheduled/production status.

I ordered a 75A from them back in 2016. I decided to get the side airbags after the fact. They couldn't change the order and instead had to put in a new order (again transferring the deposit). If you wanted half doors they would likely have to put in a new order for you.

If you wanted to change from a 392 altogether, I would guess they would let you transfer your deposit.

Jeep allows your order to be edited up until it is in D1 status. Your dealership needs to put in the request to their regional rep in order to make the change and it needs to be accepted by Jeep, you will then get a new POC showing the change. Many dealerships don't like to make changes and refuse to engage with their regional on changes. I've read a number of other posts on various forums that Koons will not make any changes to orders even if they are not in D1 yet but the previous post makes it sound like they might make exceptions. Best bet is to email the contact you used to place the order and see.
