Will do.Just make sure your order the 5 set! I may or may not be one of those who didn't pay attention one time and ordered a set of 4. I cannot confirm nor deny that.
Roger, don't want to leave the spare unprotectedJust make sure your order the 5 set! I may or may not be one of those who didn't pay attention one time and ordered a set of 4. I cannot confirm nor deny that.
Congratulations!
I think that you have many choices on the wheel locks. I went with Mopar. For the hook locks, I went with Sukemichi because they look most like the original ones to me. The quality is fine for what this is meant to do. I'm sure that there are others out there that are better and more expensive, but this is good for me. I simply need to look like the least easy target for the criminals. But if someone really wants in, they're getting in.
Thanks for the pics, will get the same set once my 392 gets delivered. For those still undecided on which locking lug nuts to go with, attached are two pics of the Mopar branded McGard locking lug nuts (Mopar part number 82215711).
Still not sure how I failed to check the box to order these on my 392, although I’m thinking maybe that the option didn’t exist back in early August.
I found all kinds of different information and diverging opinions on whether the standard non-Mopar branded McGard locking lug nuts had the right width and/or taper, so I decided to go with the Mopar branded ones.
A lot of online reviews focused on the fact that they protrude further than the factory lug nuts. However, having used McGard locking lug nuts on multiple other makes (GM, Toyota, etc.), this is common across their line of products.
They go for as high as $110 at the dealership, but seem to be around $65 on multiple websites.
