Had a great time with the boys in Hot Springs today but maaaaaan, was it slick on the rock in some spots. Finished out all the BOH trails and didn't have to break out the WARN 12-S despite the ice; where there's a line there's a way :) ... left with the BOH's, some great memories, and a few more minor battle scars.

Great job. I bet Fun Run was difficult with snow. Luckily I believe it was real light, dry snow. I don't know if it could be done with wet snow or ice.

All of them had ice in spots particularly on the rocks and on north facing trails and lowlands.... like ICE! Packed dry snow on the balance. One cat in our group (Gladiator) had to Winch 4 times; even the topside of Pacos Tacos which is generally pretty tame. Fun run was brutal... but oddly so was the backside of Snake. It was a real challenge to find a good line on any rocky portions which generally meant you were crawling the wall. But, 4 Wranglers finished all the BOH's... learned a lot... and had an awesome time.

Slight mishap on a bad line... another good story in the books for Moab :)

Where it happened... Kane Creek of all places... last ledge of the trail, we were only 10mins from the climbout.

How did you fix?
Spare was back at the house because of the trails the prior day, so within an hour one in the group went to grab it and we were back on the trail within 2hrs, we couldn't re-seat it on the trail cause the AL lip bent inward and cracked deep. 12ton US Jack bottlejack and base plate; lifted from the axle tube. Wheel is completely shot so it gives me an excuse to get the beadlocks I've wanted.

Definitely unpleasant… but I’m so glad you didn’t live far away and was able to finish the trail run!

Curious what PSI you were running? I had thought 10-15 psi non-beadlock would be fine.

We're renting here in Moab for the week. I was running a solid 13psi, which had worked great since Sat on a host of other moderate/difficult trails. Hell, we made it through squeeze rock and Hamburger Hill without issue on Kane Creek.

My front driver slipped off my line rock, came down hard, and wedged pulling hard driver, when I started to crawl through, she blew out. I should have eased back, reversed, and regained the line; live and learn..... there's gained experience around every corner.

Took the 392 out for the first time. Night out on the town - Las Vegas Strip & Fancy steak House. Who say's defunding the po po is a bad thing when you own a 392... It's so much fun and I want to make it Faster! It was my husbands birthday, he wanted to jump it and get air in the parking garage, I wouldn't let him.

No intention of using Bead Grip Wheels over Beadlocks? I'm sure there's a thread on it here, I've yet to search but... A penny for your thoughts?

I've got options on the table, just used beadlock as a reference. The Icon Wheels are interesting as are the Hutchinson's and Method's. Everyone has different pespectives on funtionality, style, price point. etc...I've run beadlocks on a prior rig before with +40k/mi and never once experienced any OTR issues you hear about all of the time. Like everything else on a vehicle, you just need to maintain them from time to time (just check the bolt torque). I'd rather replace a ring over a wheel anytime.... my $.02
