Metalcloak's 392 Suspension Systems (We have Options!)

Are you running the factory wheels? I want to install the 2.5" MC lift but don't want to run spacers or change wheels.
I use Method Bead Grip wheels also. Mine are 17x8.5 with 0 offset (4.75" backspacing)

3/4 inch with full tank on level garage floor. Level at 1/4 tank. Others have posted similar. I measured at front door hinge bolt a friend added two of MCs rear spring washers on the passenger side that leveled it out. We both started out with 2 washers on each side to give the rear just a bit more rake also to allow for some additional gear in back. So now he’s at 4 spring shims on passenger side it sits level. My Jeep rarely has a 1/4 tank or less. I keep it full. And it’s always full when starting on a run
That seems to be quite a bit of lean. In my opinion, it should be addressed in their kit with either side specific springs or just include the bigger coil supports for those that have the lean. I really hated my JK after I installed an AEV lift and had to add Teraflex spacers to get it right. I was leaning towards Metalcloak, but the more I’ve read about an after-lift lean, but more inclined to go with a kit that accounts for any lean. I understand the different factors that cause the lean, but why do some companies address it and some don’t?

Lots more too!!

I'm super stoked with the MC 3.5" lift and the guys at Lifestyle Garage in Lakeside, CA. The ADS shocks are tuned perfectly, and the MC suspension is fantastic. I took her out and got my first Badge of Honor at Pinyon Mountain. Very fun and capable jeep!

Thanks, MC, for making Jeep life great!!!

Very nice do you know if ADS re valved your shocks specifically for 392 as out of the box so to speak the 392 is heavier (400 lbs)than v6 and or the diesel

I put in a call to ads they haven’t gotten back to me 😬 I mentioned my neighbor who has a diesel loves the shocks he runs them full soft. I went on a ride in his jeep it does ride very nice he also has hydraulic bump stops very smooth . Thanks

I agree they should. I ordered rear coils washer / shims yesterday. Thanks

The Guys at Lifestyle Garage in Lakeside have done the same kit on numerous 392s and have the valving dialed in just right. I have it set on "soft," and it rides like a dream—a lot better than stock.

Nice . today I picked up ADS reservoir shocks installed the front tonight rears tomorrow. Could you post some close up pics of reservoir hose routing with as much detail as possible . Seems like sway bar may interfere. with hose not a lot of flex in that hose thanks.
In my pic sway bar is unbolted that’s why there is so much clearance thanks

What light bar (Baja Designs) did you go with? How is the noise at Freeway speeds? I also have an SOT and just wondering if it causes a lot of wind disturbance over the SOT.

Finished the rear ADS piggyback res shocks yesterday went for a 20 mile drive. The Jeep really feels planted to the road . Doing a pre run today for our Jeep club 3.5 out of 5 trail that will be a better test

I had a passenger side lean on my 392 after installing it's 2.5" Gamechanger lift. I installed 3 of the Metalcloak shim washers in the right rear corner and it didn't make an appreciable difference. I had to install a Teraflex 3/4" spring spacer in the right rear and a 1/2" spring spacer in the right front to fix the problem. It would be nice if Metalcloak made side specific springs to address this, but adding a spring spacer is not a big deal. Plus, there is so much more involved in making a suspension lift a good product, that functions great and is durable, and Metalcloak nails it perfectly at everything else.

If I were choosing a suspension lift again today, I would choose Metalcloak again.

When I ordered rear washers/ shims /fine /tuning spacers I asked how many can be put under the rear spring safely Metal Cloak said you can safely put 5 in 😬. Looks to me that 4 would be ok we shall see.

Well we just got back from Tar wash run actual rating is a 3.25 out of 5 ADS shocks are a 100 % improvement over the red shocks (like stock) here is the bad news service 4 wheel drive light came on rear end feels bound up like lockers are on.. they are not on

When you hit the Metalcloak website, you will notice that our 392 Specific Suspension kits are not just a drop down in our standard Game-Changer Line-Up... they are specifically crafted kits designed for a very specialized rig...

From the 2.5" budget friendly True Dual Rate Kit to the 4.5" Full Game Changer System, we have a kit for [just about] everyone's needs.

Thinking Long Arm?

Those kits are coming soon.
Do you guys have video/content on RockSports black shocks fixed up on a 392?

Did you end up going aftermarket driveshaft? This is basically what I'm looking at doing this summer to my 23 Hydro Blue 392XR as well.

Hmmm, can you keep us updated on what you find is the issue?

How was taking the 392 through “The Squeeze?” It doesn’t look like there are any scratches.

I have the lean with Teraflex too.

I have the TeraFlex CT2 for my 2024 392 and the coils are corner specific to account for weight bias. I do not have any armor/heavy accessories just the OEM winch with zero lean. It is a new install and hope it stays level given the corner specific coils. FWIW
