MC skids

How do you like your Fox shocks?
I’ve been very happy with the fox 2.0 reservoir shocks. I’ve had adjustable shocks on previous vehicles and found that I rarely adjusted them. The ones I have now I had tuned by Accutune and I’m not sure if that makes a difference or not as I’ve heard the factory Fox shocks for the Jeep are pretty well tuned already. One way or the other, I think they are one of the best shocks for the money.

Has not shipped yet
Bummer I wonder how many they have sold how many have shipped.?Do you suppose MC would sell complete sets first ? Then fill in single pieces.

What is rebuilding time line and parts cost if that info was given to you? Thanks

Just called Metal Cloak parts are going to zink coating next week should ship soon. I ordered 3/3.. they said they have had a large interest from those who have ordered the skid system before res skid was offered

Just joined the forum and adding this thread to my watch list.

I just ordered the MC complete skids too without the rear exhaust skid and will install it on Sat.

Did you get the resonator skid also? If so, how long ago did you order this? Thanks for your reply.

I orderd the kit 2 weeks ago and I ordered the complete kit without the muffler skid. I'll check on sat if the resonator skid is in the kit but I do remember adding that too.

Placed an order with my local shop for the full Undercloak kit with muffler skid, and front&rear diff skids.....looking forward to getting the protection on and wheeling with confidence soon

Well I didn't receive the resonator skid and will place an order for that separately.
Bummer I ordered mine on the 3rd I was hoping to here this week that it had shipped but no I haven’t received an update from MC

Has anyone found out if the res skid will work with AWE exhaust? I didn’t realize it hangs lower in that spot

I should have just continued this thread my res skid showed up Sunday morning it’s installed it is just about 1 1/4 lower than the bottom of frame. Maybe the same profile as t-case .if you need some measurements let me know from where to where.

Resonator skid shipped today
Did you install yet? Your thoughts. Mine must have shipped out near the same time as yours . They never let me know it just showed up on Sunday the 24 th.

Mine hasn't shipped either. May be that they are just out of stock????

Done. Went in easily. Cleared the switch fire borla pipe but is less than 1/2” clearance at one spot. Very nice overall. Kind of think it should have a bracket on the inside rear as that corner is not supported and I think it would bend if landed hard on a rock. Clean install though. While I was under there I swapped out my borla atak resonators for s type. Still plenty loud but less raspy. Got tired of it hurting my ears when I get on it.

I have updated my post (edited) skid hangs down more than I previously said. sorry about that.

Got my 2021 Undercloaked today, looks fantastic.

Rear diff skid is on, however shop ran into an unresolveable MC issue having to do with axle casting variations from JEEP that the right part number will NOT fit the front diff skid onto the truck without a spacer added.....will hope they get it figured out next week.

I had the same issue with a MC front diff skid on my last Jeep. MC told me the same reason they told you. My shop was able to make their skid work, but it did require re-drilling one of the mounting holes in the MC skid and using a few spacer washers. That problem has been around for at least three years. I don't see why they haven't corrected for it yet. On this Jeep I used Next Venture diff skids, which I thought were designed better and fit with no problems.
