Good question, I also wheel a lot, including the tougher trails in Moab, the Rubicon Trail, and numerous others. My 392 has a MetalCloak 2.5" Gamechanger lift and 37s. I have the full MetalCloak skids on my 392, and also had the muffler skid for a while. I have the Next Venture diff covers and diff skids, as well as control arm skids. And I have RockSlide Engineering step sliders. Every single skid plate and both rock sliders have been used several times, and they all have numerous scrapes and scratches on them. The UHMW on one of the rear control arm skids had to be replaced. I mangled the stock exhaust tips twice, despite the MetalCloak muffler skid, and replaced the stock exhaust with an AWE exhaust to gain better clearance, and tossed the MetalCloak muffler skid. The stock metal rear bumper was bent up into the body, and the stock metal front bumper was also tweaked (while in stubby form). Both bumpers have been Replaced by CavFab bumpers. I bent the Mopar Reinforced spare tire carrier when dropping off a 5' high ledge in Moab, and it tweaked the tailgate. The Mopar tire carrier was replaced with a CavFab tire carrier, and with the new tire carrier the tailgate straightened out perfectly.
But I've never hit the exhaust that would be protected by this new skid plate from MetalCloak.
