It was almost a wash. They gave me $77K (I paid $77.7K for it in 2021) and my new 2023 Rebel was $78K. Fortunately, I only had to pay 6% sales tax on the $1K difference as they were able to hold the deal (and my $77K trade-in allowance) for 2 months until the Rebel came in. Last I saw, they had marked down the Jeep to $82K (from $89K) before it finally sold after 6 weeks. Some lucky person bought it over the phone and had it shipped to Louisiana. I don’t know what they paid for it.
