Jeep Wrangler 392 Oil Filter

So how may quarts are you putting in with the M0-041 filter? I just did my oil change. I also let it drain for 20mins. But it seems like 9qts fills it. I remember useing 9 last OC as well. Anyone else use that much?

7.5 brings it right to the top of the crosshatch, with M41.

Is that the small black factory filter? 04892339ba. The ba has changed different vender. 21 =7qrts my 23 with small black OEM filter 7.5 arts

041 is the larger SRT filter and it takes basically the same amount of oil as the smaller factory filter. I’ve been running the 041 on mine and it’s still 7.5qts on every fill.

Agree, bigger is better but the filers bypass valve spring is also important. Sould the bypass valve allow oil to flow back directly into the engine oil system bypassing the filter medium at a low pressure then what good is the filter.
Oil filter manufactures don't disclose (openly) the pressures that their filter's bypass valves open at so it is hard to tell how effective their filters actually are. Should the filter bypass valve open at a lower pressure than the oil is not passing through the filter media as much as it could or should.
