The Vara Safety isn't cheap, but it is absolutely secure while maintaining access. I carry at 4 O'clock, which is near impossible to get to when you're wearing a seatbelt. Not to mention then added wear on then seat from the butt of the gun.

I'm going on my second week waiting for a reply from AAL. All I'm trying to figure out is the right fridge slide for my ARB Zero 47qt.
Dimensions are: 19.5"H x 16.7"W x 26.6"D. Their standard slide interior dimensions aren't wide enough. Not sure if the ARB fridge slide will bolt to the platform, and AALs got a couple of flat slides that should work, but I just want to be sure I'm picking the right pieces the first time. I hate returning sh*t.

I have the Dometic CFX3 45qt bolted to the AALflat slide. Specs are 27.32Lx18.74Hx15.67W
I believe you’d be alright, assuming you want to bolt it down. If you run a cargo shelf from AAL, the height will likely be a problem.
Can see the flat slide has at least an inch on either side of the Dometic.

I have a flat slide. I recall there being accurate dimensions on the website. What are you trying to figure out? I have mine fastened to a home made goose gear platform with a CFX3 45 below their adjustable cargo shelf.

This is a great setup. I just want to be sure I buy right the slide is all. You’re right, they’re good about dimensions. I have my options narrowed down to a flat slide. I think I’ll be going with AALs M.A.S.S plus platform.

I am throwing it out there as another option. It worked out cheaper for me, works with my old Waeco (Now Dometic) 50L and the quality seems good and fits a few other larger/smaller fridges. It also sits lower than the AAL Flat Slide (One of my options due to weight) as the rails are on the side.

The All-Top Fridge slide from amazon works out very well in the back of the jeep. They have a few options (Cutting board, non cutting board etc.) I just haven't put it in yet as trying to figure out how I want to do it, i need it to be removable.

I’m looking for gun storage!!!

Now I’m as responsible as the next guy, but I generally just leave my guns and ammo rattling around the cab so they are easily accessible on an emergency . Please don’t worry, I keep the ‘safeties’ on so no one can blow their face off just by looking at them

Unfortunately, the damn hippies in my state passed a new law that requires gun owners to lock up their guns if their vehicles are left unattended…. Which does happen on occasion.

So what are y’all using and is there anything that you absolutely love?

Just saw this as someone was asking me about my rear storage setup, don't know if you have your rear seats but I went with the cargo dog boxes, one is all tools and the other has my truck rifle and a handgun that live in there along with 1000 rounds of ammo(500 for each) and a bunch of mags. I carry everyday so these items just live here for the day that hopefully never comes.

So my style usually leans into the minimalist/sleeper category when it comes to modifications. Since this is my daily and also my adventure rig, the changes I make to Fiona need to balance the daily and adventure sides of her. Adding utility while not taking away any in the process. I am curious how each of you are coping with that balance and what kind of storage solutions you've come up with internally for those who use your 392 as a daily driver and also adventure rig? So far, I'm going with the Gama Adventure bags. One side keeps my weekend recovery gear, the other holds my winch controls, first aid, jumper box, etc. Just the basics I always want with me. Though not sure how well these will hold up. Wheeling with them, they like to wobble back and forth. Anybody using under seat storage of any kind? If so, please share and let us know of other solutions you've tried.

Had a different shelf that just wasn't what I wanted, recently went to the AAL shelf, already have their TACS for the tailgate that hides my compressor.

Today just mounted a work top for the packout to the bottom side of the shelf and attached the drawers which will hold my air up items and a few other bits. Will be adjusting the shelf so that I can still fit some recovery bits under the drawers.

I have two AAL Packout brackets on my shelf too. The boxes don't fit super snugly to the bracketas I'd have hoped. I've got a strap, snugging them down to the shelf, but I am wondering what others are doing if their boxes rattle too.

I ended up buying Milwaukee plates and drilling mounting holes in the shelf then using nutserts to mount.

That 3 drawer Packout sure fits underneath the AAL MASS Cargo Shelf nicely. Does it sit on anything to hold it in place, or just rest on the floor? What are the dimensions of that drawer? I've already got the MASS Cargo Shelf, and the drawer Packout looks like it would be a good addition. Thanks.

I bought some of those stick on felt pads that you put on the bottom of furniture to prevent scratching hardwood floors. I stuck them to the top of the packout adapter plate on the cargo shelf and it makes the packout boxes fit nice and snug. I have to press down hard on the packout boxes to get the hooks on the bottom of the box to engage the slot in the packout adapter plate and click into place. There are no rattles once they are engaged. It takes a little effort to get them to come free again when you want to remove them, but as the felt pads wear in a bit, it becomes easier.

I have the H3R branded extinguisher. I did put tape on the extinguisher mount to keep it from rattling.

It does not sit on anything, i have it suspended from above the packout drawer using a worktop from a company called stacksmarter. Its made from hdpe.

Mounted the worktop beneath the shelf using 1.25 inch aluminum spacers and 1 washer, which made it fit perfectly as the middle of the shelf has that reinforcement protrusion underneath.
