Emergency

I like this, but unfortunately for us, the attack method is not always the OBD port. It's often the star connector behind the glove box.

I've thought about wrapping the star connector in a whole roll of electrical tape. That should slow those a-hole thieves down a bit.
Sounds like we need a more stout glovebox. That thing comes off easier than a shoebox lid.

I received a notice for my '24 which said it was for the jack lift base which had not been included. I have yet to stop by the dealership to pick up. My understanding the lift base was not needed/included with non-XR models.
OK, so there would be a plastic base (I think it's yellow) that should have been included with the XR models as the jack won't reach high enough with the 35s. I don't have one in my '22 XR, but I thought the previous owner just kept it.Maybe I will follow-up with service next time I am in...thanks all!

The stock jack is not so great

I agree with you. I have the Hi-Lift jack mounted above my rear bar with the Dominion OffRoad mount kit for now, but I am trying to fabricate a mount for my Pro Eagle jack that will attach to the Trail Rail system so I could remove it for everyday use and bolt it down for the trails.

Found this Apple Air tag stuck with some glue on top of the sky one touch roof. Turned it in to the detective.

Wow!
My guess - they saw the Jeep out and about parking lot or whatever. Waited for you to leave the Jeep, planted the AirTag also probably cloned your key at that time or when you came back to the jeep, trace it back to the house when they had a better chance to steal, it already had a clone key ready to roll , easy and quick.
I still have my 2007 JK – a real key no RF signal- would prefer the same for my 392

Theft rings have been using them to track vehicles to be stolen later. They use them to track where you live/park for an extended time. Airtags are not good at real time tracking. Hopefully, you keep your high-end vehicles in a garage.

I actually have airtags in all of my vehicles as an added security measure - well hidden of course.

Stay safe!

I just installed the "Tracker Detect" app on my Android phone to scan my Jeep for any unwanted Airtags or other bluetooth tracking devices. Crazy Stuff!!

As another commenter mentioned, I agree you were flagged.

I bought a bunch of AirTags to track my kids on vacation. They didn’t work so well for my intended purposes and I ended up losing one of them on a cruise ship or airport during the trip. I tracked the device all the way down into South America! No idea who found it. But as a result, I have a couple hidden in and around my 392. Only issue is getting to them when the small battery dies!🤦‍♂️

A couple things to keep in mind. 1) Because of this exact situation (someone stalking you to steal or worse), apple placed alerts on AirTags to alert you if you’re being tracked by an unknown AirTag. You have to have an iPhone to be notified though. I was trying out the function and my father in-law was spooked because I didn’t tell him I was tracking him😂2) there’s a speaker to help you locate your AirTag or the unknown. This speaker can be removed. Find videos online. 3) if you have an iPhone, you can locate tags. It’ll walk to right to your device. So put it in a location that’s hard to get to.

But if you put air tags on your own vehicle to keep track (in case it's stolen), won't the "Tracker Detect" app go bonkers from your own air tags?

@Bald Guy how have things been since you've recovered the vehicle? Any news to report? I'm selfishly curious.

I haven't heard any news or updates. I did give up the vehicle in exchange for an alternative vehicle.

Man, sorry you went through that. I hated being in my Audi after someone smashed the window and rummaged through it. Can't imagine it being in a high speed pursuit, getting it back and feeling warm and fuzzy about it. What's the alternative vehicle?

I picked up a new lx600. Coincidence but I was looking into an Audi in exchange for my additional Jeep Rubicon 392s.
