Aftermarket Driveshafts for the Wrangler 392? What are you guys running?

It has worked well for us! Any value in the OEM one or should it just be scrapped?

For those of you running the Adams 1350 front driveshaft, did you need to do any special measurements, or was the stock 1350 driveshaft sufficient? I am only running a 3.5" lift with 37" tires so I am assuming that the 1350 that is in stock at a local retailer would work vs. measuring and having one made, especially considering the 7" spline on their driveshafts.

I measured per their instructions and ordered. They shipped the day after order and I believe I received it within a couple days. I would certainly want to validate the measurements of the driveshaft in stock at your local retailer IMO.

I’ve noticed a burnt rubber smell today so I’ve looked underneath and have noticed black grease around the stock front drive shaft where it connects to TC. My guess is that it is time to upgrade after hitting 30k miles. I’m going to visit a local shop to get it measured to have the Adams 1350 ordered and installed afterwards. Hopefully I don’t experience ds vibration with the 1350.

Can't go wrong with the Adams IMO... that damn non-servicable OEM rubber boot!

Ugh that sucks! And if you need a point of contact to order one from a dealer. I ordered mine through Mike at Globex Performance; he took care of me with a good deal - https://share.google/XFCZU2C0NUlkUGIAc

When mine was replaced I didn't have it measured, but the 1350 "off the shelf" worked for my 392 XR with a 3.5" TeraFlex lift and 37s. Simple install to do yourself at home too.

I've stopped by Exodus4x4 shop in the morning to have the front DS removed, and measured. The front DS has been removed until the replacement is ready to be put on. Until then I'll be driving w/o the front DS and have the Tazer set to RWD mode in the meantime.

I've always wanted to get down to those boys at Exodus.... I've watched Bubba's videos for years on YT.

Same. I've ran into Bubba this morning and he helped me to get my jeep checked, even though they were fully booked. Such a nice guy and the crew at the shop.

Exodus did my re-gear. Great experience and all has been good! Will definitely use them again.

Went with 4.88s and prefer it over the 4.56 with 37s.
Were your stock gears mangled or something? Not exactly a huge change in performance from 4.56s or 4.88s. What's the difference in RPMs? 150-200?

No gears were fine.

True it's not much difference, better still, but I'll be going with a larger tire size.

I'm still running stock 4.56 gears w/ 40s and have zero complaints.

Got the front 1350 ds installed this morning at Exodus4x4 and I have not felt any unusual vibrations from the driveshaft coming back home. Kudos to Bubba and his crew. (y)
