2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392

My '26 is scheduled; seeing this I wonder what quality cuts have been made to drop the price.....

They didn’t paint the fender flares. $20k right there.
According to everyone on my facebook post, yes exactly this.
Sometimes when I'm on hold with Stellantis I check the profiles of the people who troll up on my posts.
Sometimes I find good stuff

None! Tavares almost killed Jeep by trying to make it a luxury or eco-friendly vehicle. Now Stellantis is scrambling to recover from his mistakes. Resetting the price points is just one measure in doing so. I think the whole industry is recovering from bad decisions. I think that we're going to see more good things like the Moab and a Sport for under $40K.

Yes I noticed in the picture, called my dealer who confirmed CHEAP TAWDRY BLACK FENDERS ARE STOCK AND NO PAINT TO MATCH OPTION.

So either AEV or my dealer will body colour the fenders.

This is as stupid as the red interior in my '24 I had AEV replace in black.

So what else did they "cost reduce" to sh.t????????

THIS. I strongly suspect the Stellantis efforts were to grab as much money as fast as possible, and only put the minimum (or less) back into the company. The only places they put money were EVs, and that is working out SO WELL. The new all electric Recon is an answer to a question that no one is asking… /face palm. $65K and up for an overgrown golf cart?
Now that they are evaluating how to oh, continue to do business… it seems they are listening a BIT to their dealers, current owners, and the market (future potential owners). The dealer letter in fall of 2024 was a warning shot - and they are finally responding with some of the recent changes (death of 4xe models, reversal on all electric models, return of 392 as a standard model, etc).

If I was in charge - I’d be doing a bunch of research into what people are interested in buying, and trying to figure out how to offer something appropriate. Think TJ-level complexity and pricing - at least as an option. That would sell a pretty good number in the US, and even be a viable option in EU, UK, and Asia. Yes, it would take some JL level sales, but bring in a lot more new owners… and plant the seed for them to go to the next JEEP level when they can afford it..
