2024 392 orders open tomorrow

A lot of the options aren't showing up quite yet, but we do know that there's going to be the larger touchscreen with wireless carplay, and an option for power seats too!

From my salesman he’s gonna keep giving details
The screen and power seats are long overdue.

Power seats don't do much for me... once I get it where I like it, I never touch it. Now.... ventilated or air conditioned seats..... no vehicle needs this more than a Wrangler.

I would think ventilated seats would be an issue with a vehicle that is supposed to be ok getting rain/water in.

Isn't ventilated the same as self drying? I don't really see the issue? If it's just ventilated and not A/C, it's just a fan and some ducting in combination with perforated seats. It'd be a plastic fan anyway.... just use a sealed motor.

I’m conflicted… I took delivery of a MY23 392 a month or so ago. On one hand some of the updates are things I definitely wish I had but others are things I’m very happy I don’t have. Kind of a mixed bag overall I think.

I'm thinking really about the perforated leather letting water flow in.

Same I think it’s crazy jeep just drops them without a heads up!!

Here is my take guys. When I first saw the news yesterday I was like "WHAT? I thought I have a very rare/special rig. I just enjoyed my rig for a year and love everything about it, now a new version with upgrades?" Then I reflected and realized that what I have is really the best for ME.

- I've had cars with bigger touchscreen and dual screens, or like Audi's virtual cockpit. I was excited initially but very soon no longer wanted to play around them.
- I'm old schooled, don't want too much electronics neither, a cable can change my iphone is all I need. And I have my portable power banks too.
- The NA V8 and the exhaust notes are really the keys to me.
- I've had ventilated seats in a few cars, they are OK, I use them a few times in summer.
- I do like beefier Axle, but I don't tow anything. Nor not much off-roading.
- The last year was full of new knowledge and discussions on this forum, that most of the 21/22 owners really appreciate it I believe. This experience won't reproduce with the 24 version.

Was really hoping something more practical things being released in the updated version:

- good back up/reverse lighting
- real hood lock and security improvements
- configuration to lower the low tire pressure alert threshold

For those who are motivated, hope you get what you wanted without a long wait. For those 21 or 22 owners, if you are happy, keep building/enjoying your rig and become happier!

Here's what I got from a high-volume dealer in PA regarding my inquiry on the 2024 Rubicon 392:

"The Code Guides and Pricing Guides have not posted yet to the order bank, but the orders have opened. Below are the available spec options. Pages 1-5 below are the standard options for the Rubicon 392 that we can see in the order bank":

2024 Wrangler Rubicon standard features:

Looks like the main thing there is XR basically being integrated into the 392 trim. Looks like when this is all said and done, the non-XR folks might have the rare birds! 🤪

The main thing I'm seeing that I'd like is the wireless car play.

My bronco has a huge center screen and while it's nice, I don't need it or care about it much tbh. But I do like the wireless carplay on it (since I use a magsafe mount in my bronco).

Hmm, they got rid of Sting. Not sure what to think of that. I guess that's one consolation for my 23 XR since it's Sting. If someone was dead set on that, looks they ain't getting a '24 in it at this point. That's what I got my 20A in as well, so again, I guess I'm kinda happy for that at least.

Seems like the front trail cam is standard now too. Assuming a 91k starting msrp.

I’m in the same boat

I'm guessing those are options. Throw on a rear axle, dual top or SOT, half doors, and whatever seats, and this thing is probably going north of 100k I'll bet.

I was hoping to hear from Granger today about the order for the 24s, but it seems pricing has yet to be set.

The 2024 392 is getting some updates, and it also has XR items stock now. When I ordered my 2023, XR wasn't an option, and I made peace with that pretty quickly as most of the XR options are things I'm upgrading anyway.

My 2023 non-XR order went from D1 to D this past Sunday. Silver lining, I was able to get the Tow Package added, and I got confirmation of that this morning that Stellantis made the change to the build. It wasn't available when I ordered.

But I already have fender extensions, 37" tires/wheels, tailgate reinforcement, and a 2.5" Clayton Overland+ lift (with Currie steering components and Falcon 3.3 shocks) waiting to get installed once I get the Jeep. All I have left to do is the 4.56 gears, and I have already spoken to a few Jeep shops about that too.

I'm conflicted though - I don't want to wait until September to get a 2024 order delivered. I also don't want the certain price hike. But there is a small sting that comes with having an order in for the already outdated design.
