Will Jeep push the 2024 392 MSRP close to $90k?

I’m afraid the new 2024 MSRP will push a base Wrangler 392 w/destination fee into new pricing territory.

A 6% price increase for a base 392 ($82,495 + $1,795 destination fee) will push the flagship Wrangler just below $90k.

I’m thinking mid 90’s with the uconnect 5, electric seats, reason package, Dana 60’s upgrade along with a better gear ratio package. It’ll be a little sad, a little happy, but interesting. The price we pay to have exactly what we want. Be in my boat. Just bought our brand new 23 January 1st, already modified it, less than 2500 miles on it and now they come out with this upgraded 392 on steroids and the wife is already talking about trading our brand new one 🤑🤬🤮

Similar happened to me when I bought my GC SRT. A Month later they announce the TRACKHAWK. Dealer offered me $20k less than sticker for my GC SRT. I passed.

There's always going to be something newer or better.

Simply enjoy what you have and don't waste mental energy or your present day enjoyment thinking about "whats next". Life is far too short to get lost in that endless cycle. ✌️

Exactly. There will always be something nicer around the corner. My guess is the current JL generation Wrangler will cease production around 2026-2027.

When a customer brings in a vehicle for service they get tempted to upgrade in two ways;

-the customer might get a near new loaner vehicle
-the customer waiting lounge is near the car showroom. How convenient.

The rumor is that 2024 Wrangler pricing will be revealed before the end of the month. Make sure you are sitting down before perusing the new MSRP’s😁

I was DYING to get a TRX and love everything about it, but it was just too damn big...wouldn't fit in the garage. Or the driveway. Or many underground garages. I once drove a regular RAM 1500 for a few days and got quickly tired of having to make 3-point maneuvers to get into and out of a space in some parking lot with cars on both sides.
Do you live in a micro house with a micro driveway? How often do you have to park in an underground garage? I’m sure a TRX isn’t for everyone.

I certainly don’t think a TRX is twice the vehicle of a 392, but it’s definitely not as impractical as you lead others to believe unless you live in a very large city with limited parking options.

Depends on where you live in the country. When I lived in Boston, parking was tough no matter where you went. Los Angeles and other major cities along the West Coast weren’t easy either as spaces are smaller and parking garage height limitations are short there as well. I would have never considered a TRX if I was still in those areas. Now that I’m in Texas, I considered one before getting the 392 but found the Wrangler to be a better fit for my wants.

Point is, not everyone on this forum lives where owning a big truck won’t limit their daily lives. I mean look at where @ek01 lives. New York! Definitely tough with a big vehicle there and I feel sorry for all the other crap he has to put up with living in NY. 😉 Just kidding… sorta.

Yeah I live in a micro house...here is what it looks like:

I mean....I can BARELY fit my Prius in that driveway...but only when I flip it on it's side.

I also eat micro sandwiches and park in micro underground garages.

Just in case we want to go back to reality....I'm not "leading anyone to believe" anything and I never said TRX was "impractical".

I live in a rural town and I'd be annoyed with trying to park any full size pick up truck in the parking lots around here (doesn't stop everyone else and their grandmothers though). It's the reason I'm not overly interested in a Braptor.

Had a TRX. Unless you were making the supercharger sing it was a predictably boring truck to live with on a daily basis. Maybe it was just so good and sophisticated that I failed to realize what a superb vehicle I was driving. In simpler terms, had a 392, traded for TRX, and after 2xx miles traded it on my ZO6 C8 allocation and got another 392. YMMV.

This is actually really awesome and helpful feedback from someone who has had both trucks. I currently have a 2023 Raptor 37 Package and have had many Jeeps before. Got really close to the TRX but decided against it after a drive. TRX has a really heavy feel compared to the Raptor in every day driving. Now looking to get back into a 2024 392 Wrangler so this is really helpful. Thank you.

I'm in DC a few times a week, and many of the parking garages there are just over 6' in height. My old JKU with 35's & 3-1/2" MetalCloak lift *barely* fit in most, and wouldn't fit in others. My 392 with stock height & 35's seems a *tiny* bit lower, but I still hate the garages there, and the super sharp turns inside many of them are another matter altogether. I was behind a TRX the other day who had to make a 5-point turn to get around one of the corners (he mighta been being overly cautious), but it was spectacle to see- as he was holding up traffic in both lanes. :ROFLMAO:

I do miss having a pickup, and I'll admit that I was/am super curious about the TRX all the same. I've never driven one (I prob would've bought it if I had...), but I'm basically a Jeep dude in the end and would prob want my 392 back in a month or less.

I've got a 2021 and 2022 TRX (wife drives the 2022) and love it - if could only have one vehicle it would be the TRX - however I like the Jeep 392 as well and have a 2024 on order - comparison will come after it arrives.

Somebody just posted on Facebook that the MSRP for a 2024 392 is $89,390.

Wonder if that’s with destination

Lower then I expected though still 4K higher then an early 23 build with XR and sot.

Nice! "Only" a $6,895 increase in 1 year:

I was on the fence about getting a 2023 with $6K off MSRP (and I still had the early 2023 MSRP locked in) and I do enjoy owning it, but I highly doubt I'd pay nearly $90K plus options for a Wrangler. But at least people that do order a '24 392 won't have to wait 7 months for it. Maybe.

It’s official:

2024 392 MSRP = $87,595 + $1,795 destination fee

TOTAL = $89,390 for base 2024 Wrangler 392
