🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

I picked mine up Wednesday, then drove it back home. Wednesday night I put on my ROKBLOX mud flaps, and some hinge protection for the drive home.
Sunday I washed it, and Put on My Redline hood props. LOVE having this thing.

Roger that!!! Oh and my Wife is good with the loud setting on the exhaust and maybe open to the AWE. I'm going to have to get with you at some point to hear yours.

Looks great!

That’s awesome about the exhaust. Let me know if you’d like to hear it in person some time. I typically run it in the quiet mode which is still plenty loud. But I also do enjoy the open setting too.

I like that when you get after it a little bit in the closed setting, the valves do automatically open as needed.

Still it’s one of my favorite mods so far…

There was a guy on here for a while that had a 392, as did his wife. He told me he wanted to put some expensive off-road accessories on his Jeep even though it would never go off-road. When I asked why he said "I'm in a shameful arms race with my wife".

Good guy, he gave me a good deal on some mirrors but has since sold his 392.
 
Getting late in the year it was time to put the top back on until Spring. Took the time to do a good cleaning of all the seals that collect dust and exposure to uv, particularly around the freedom panels and apply some "Gummi Pflege Stift" for conditioning and protection of the rubber seals.

I learned years ago when I had a Corvette to tend to the seals around the removable top for protection as well as avoiding unwanted noise. I greatly prefer this German stuff I can't pronounce over silicone grease or armor all that I used to use. It goes on as easy as liquid shoe polish with the built in applicator and is mess free as well as having a minimal scent that fades quickly. Given its consistency, it does not become a dust magnet later on.

I don't have any affiliation with the product other than being a happy long time user for tending to this often overlooked maintenance item on many brands of vehicles.

I am torn between the Moore and the Rusty's. I noticed after my first trail day that I was definitely scraping the exhaust loop.

I like how the Moore attaches to the motor mounts simply because it looks easier to install than some of the others. How was the motor mount install on the Rusty's and why did you choose it over everything else?

Rusty’s attaches to the bottom of motor mount very easily with one nut per side.

I picked Rusty’s because no other appeared to be compatible with the headers I have. That’s just from eyeballing pictures though. I could be wrong.

I ordered it. It looks like it is a stocked item. How long did it take to get yours?
 
Going with Front and Rear Alcon Brakes, hopefully have time to install and test, will revert with results...

Yes sir looked at them all the Alcon has only 13.75" front disc for clearance…Apollo Optics had best price F & R free shipping and no tax…$4267 OTD one day shipping to Arkansas…

Got a much needed alignment at my local shop as I have no more wheeling trips planned until the spring. Bringing it back in 2 weeks to get the underbody sprayed with fluid film. In the meantime to prep I’ll be sanding down and painting any rust spots underneath. This will be the first time getting fluid film. My shop’s owner tells me it going to smell pretty bad the first 2 weeks, but with a bad winter expected due to El Niño I want to make sure the underside is protected from all the brine.

The shop owner also noticed some grease slung around the alternator. Anyone seen this before? I’m going to bring it to the dealer to have them look at it.

Just a FYI, the Rustys skid shipped out the next day after I ordered it. It comes in on Saturday. My rock sliders will be delivered today so I will install them as soon as they arrive. Man, all I do is work on this thing. My TRX just sit in the garage and waited for me to drive it. I guess it took me some time before it reached that point.

Installed Alcon fronts today, the clearance on the 17" Raceline Gauge Wheels +18 offset only left 1.7mm clearance... 😲...I broke them in this evening and had no clearance issues or interference, will install rears tomorrow...

Yes, braking substantially improve and should only get better...
