šŸ› ļø What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

AAL storage box came in. Gonna add another one. For some reason I thought it would be bigger (that’s what she said).

Added this dual ball mount from 67 Designs. Not sure I need it much to have the phone in a position to look at because the screen with Car Play gets everything anyway, but it gets it out of the cup holder. Plus if I want to add a Go Pro or other dash cam, I can stick it on there.

From a couple week ago.... installed the 'Mopar Performance Rock Rails' and the 'Rugged Ridge Gen 2 Aluminum Locking Hood Catches.'

Also spent a few moments to admire the 392 engine while I was installing the hood catches. :)

Couple things to check before you lift the 64lb slider up. Check the pinch weld holes and make sure they are open totally. A few of mine were 1/2 closed and I had to ream them to get the slider studs to go through. Plus , lay out your wiring harness under the Jeep to get a feel for the routing. I started at the passenger rear door and routed the connection on top of the frame rail and then up to the battery.
Plus, some of the door pictures are mislabeled in the instructions. The front door sensor pics are fine. The rear door pics show 2 ways. The easiest for me was to install the rear door sensors at the hinges instead of at the latches, but it works either way.
Installed RSE steps a couple weekends back and love them. As @onfire392 mentioned, I had to drill out the holes with a 1/2 inch bit to get an additional 1/8 clearance for the front two brackets.

Depends what it is. I’ve never called to see if they do anything different vs the auto calculation. I usually offset with the military discount so it’s not so bad, I suppose.

Same with mil discount but I have calculate shipping at UPS for same weight from same zip to zip and it was about half. I called one time and they lowered it.

I just had all the tattoos installed. I went out of my comfort zone but glad I did. Mopar 20th anniversary decals, under ground graphics warn decals and B &C pillar black out kit, and ceramic tint and custom veterans jeepers windshield banner. May not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I’m drinking it.

Finally got around to installing the TA speakers. At first blush I don't notice any appreciable difference. I'll give it the 5 hour recommended break in and see what it sounds like then.....

All you will achieve is the needed higher frequencies from the tweeters. I found to fade to front one notch, set mids and treble flat, and boost bass two notches. TA's are a higher ohms speaker over factory, so you need the slight fade towards the front to compensate. Again, one notch forward worked best for me.
Overall pleased with outcome for price. Next is to add JL sub and sub amp with built-in dsp.

So how do you get into the cubby hole under the boxes?
I've been following AAL's approach to Goose Gear type installations. They do have a newer version that includes small access hatches to get to the rear storage area. Of course we know on the 392 there is not much room on the drivers side so I imagine that is just abandoned.
