Artec rear tire delete. Lol. Major mods going down! Painted the whole 392 badge for now. Have some on order to do right but on backorder. View attachment 1826View attachment 1827
Any issues with removing and re-installing the hood 392 emblem? I want to take mine off, black them out, and re-install. I hear there are locating posts on those that might get ripped off when I attempt to remove the emblem.

Are there any good alternatives for putting some type of a decent looking storage box on the back of the Jeep in place of the spare tire? Most of my driving will not be off-road and if I get a flat tire I will most likely be calling AAA and not changing using the spare attached to the back of the Jeep.

In addition, are there any suggestions for side steps or side rails that look great, protect the Jeep, allow you to clean the top of the Jeep more easily and do not hurt ground clearance too much? I'd like to stay away from electric retractable sidesteps/Rails. So far the black nerf bars look the closest.

Finally, I've seen posts of individuals putting tough boxes or locking storage boxes on the inside of the back door of the 392. If this was done, wouldn't this compromise the amount of interior storage space in the back of the Jeep by the amount that the box protrudes back into the Jeep?

Thank you for your thoughts!

For protective side steps, consider Ironman.

Added the AEV Rear Bumper and Tire Carrier, Tazer JL mini, Warn Zeon 10 Platinum Winch, AEV jack base, Mopar Locking Gas Cap, Gen3 Rock Slide Engineering Steps, Power Tank, GMRS Radio and Redline Tuning Hood Struts. , Metal Cloak 3.5 inch Game Changer Lift, 37x12.50R17 BFG KM3 tires and Icon Rebound Pro Beadlock wheels. I'm getting closer. Still need to install the Next Venture Motorsports Skid Plates with UHMW (Ultra High Molecular
weight) Option.
Did you get your skids installed? How difficult of a job was it and how many extra pounds do you think they added? I know the ones without the UHMW add 60ish lbs but I’d expect the UHMW to at least double that.

Laid everything out and tried to do an inventory before I started and I'm missing bolts. The instructions are terrible and do not address the 392 or the muffler skid plate. You do need to have the fuel tank almost empty as you have to support it with 2 cargo straps and remove the factory fuel skid plat prior to installation. Their system without the UHMW is 125 lbs. I think after you remove all the factory skids along with the factory fuel tank skid you gain about 40 lbs plus the weight of the UHMW which I'm not sure what that weighs. I should put it all on a scale and see what it weighs. My Jeep is full of fuel at the moment and I'm still waiting for the 2nd set of bolts to arrive. Hopefully they write new instructions along with an accurate inventory sheet. Troy

Just weighed the muffler skid plate with all hardware to include the UHMW and it weighs 50 lbs. Great product but it's like putting a jig saw together without instructions or customer support ever calling you back.

Best way for customer support is to keep calling until someone (usually Hunter, answers the phone) they are having growing pains from big time demand. I ordered all my stuff at the end of Aug and so far only have the Rock Sliders, skids and bumpers should be here in a couple of weeks. Be sure to post excellent instructions and photos ;):);):);)

Smaller key fob that doesn’t open in the pocket and a 12k lbs. winch.
Yes, I’m that guy who bought an $80k jeep and installed a Badlands Winch. The last one worked for the entire time (6 years) that I owned my jeep. 😜

Had to make a bracket for the battery cut off switch.

Installed an Innovative AT Products IJKP-24-ARB 4-Tire air system. Great instructions but a lengthy install for me.

I didn’t even get my Jeep yet and ordered new running boards and new antenna. And I have a ring for the third brake light in the middle of the wheel. My last Jeep I had so many People stop me and tell me how much they love the third light
Was it difficult to install the ring brake light? I returned mine because the instructions did not seem to match the configuration of the 3rd brake light bracket and connectors.

Great Job! Where did you tap into the 3rd brake light to to power your LEDs?
On my TJ's pictured I was eliminating the factory third brake light so just connected to those wires I cut. Not sure if I will eliminate the factory third light or relocate it to the center of the tire but will make a similar LED light set for new Jeep. There are just two wires going to the third brake light, pretty easy to connect. FYI with incandescent lights either wire can be connected to either lead of the light but with LED they must be connected properly. If they are backwards no harm done but will not illuminate.
