🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

I'm on a ground lighting kick for summer. I used to love night wheeling with rock lights on my TJ. They helped a lot. These are more for packing up all the crap around the Jeep when camping or surf fishing. They do have Red, Blue, and Green along with the white so I can go into party mode if I need to.

I like the placement and the fact they aren't very visible from the side. I used Aux 3 because they are low amperage and I wanted to save Aux 2 in case I need it for a higher amp future project. Running the wire through the fender was a little more of a PITA than I expected but a fish and string line did the trick.

What part of the fire wall did you go through? I wired the ARB locking 12v plug in a place put of the way since Jeep decided to put it right in the way of cargo. I didn't feel like fighting the firewall so I just ran it from the Aux 2 wire in the footwell. I am sure at some point, I will want Aux 2 for something else.

I didn't feel like fighting the firewall so I just ran it from the Aux 2 wire in the footwell. I am sure at some point, I will want Aux 2 for something else.

Look on the drivers side just below the brake chamber. There is a large round black plastic plug with two tabs on it. That goes directly through the firewall to the passenger compartment. It is not hard to get out but a bitch to get back in when you run a few wires through the rubber seals. I fought for a half hour re-seating it properly. I didn't take a picture but it is pretty obvious when you see it. It is larger than you would expect for a firewall pass through.

Okay, I did see that but I wasn't 100% certain that it was a firewall plug. Did you push it out from the interior side?

No. I used small channel locks and just gave it a tug from the engine compartment side. When you look at it, you will think it twists out because of the placement of the tabs but this is not the case although there are tapered channels so twisting might work. I just couldn't get enough leverage in that tight spot. Replacing it with a rubber grommet that seals around the wires would be ideal but I didn't feel like searching for one so I just notched the plug slightly for the wires and jammed it back in. It is sealed well now considering.

There is an always hot lead and one switched right where you found Aux 2. I believe the are lower capacity but plenty for a fridge.

Yep but I ran 8g wire and not that comfortable to tie into 16g wire.

I know. I ran 12 but it's probably just for lights and USB ports. My fridge will run off battery and batter charger is on Aux 1 with quick disconnects to switch from ARB to battery charger. Never need them both at the same time.

Yep, my fridge runs off my Ecoflow and the Jeep charges the Ecoflow from Aux 2..

You can probably tell I am a Metalcloak fan. Their engineering and product quality is superb. I added a few more of their goodies to my jeep. I installed their new Bolt-on front lower control arm skids, their rear lower control arm skids, and their dead pedal. My under armor is almost complete.

Next I am going to try to get their resonator skid to work with the Magnaflow Muffler system. I think it can be made to work with some modifications to one bracket.

Yes that hole is for a model with a clutch . Make sure you seal that hole with silicone so water doesn’t run down the fire wall and into the cab that did happen to my friend . It’s a tight work area

I like them a lot. They went in easily and I have no rattles like some people mention with other designs.

Finally got around to checking diffs and TC fluid. TC was full, front diff was 4oz low and rear diff was 5oz low. Didn't have to pull my TC skid to check.
