What did you do to your Jeep 392 today? šŸ› ļø

Installed LOD Destroyer rock sliders today with wheeling buddy Matt and his lift, which means he installed them and I helped very little. I did not include a pic because I think just about everyone knows what these look like.

I installed the Redline Tuning hood lifts. I was a little apprehensive about making the cut in the bracket but it worked out fine. If this keeps up I may have to start a build thread...

Left mine in the garage because I washed the shit out of it Sunday, and it's been raining all day.

Iā€™m in Moab for a few days, anyone else in Moab atm? Dm me if you are and want to hit some trails!! Iā€™ll post pics and I finally got 37s!!
Looking forward to the pics and thoughts, will have my first run at Moab on 3/15... couldn't get there soon enough!

Installed the GPCA GP Grip PRO's and Spiderwebshade JL4D 2pc...

GPCA GP Grip Pro (4+2+2)
  • Very well made and stout AF - I was able to hang my old fat ass at 100% dead weight and it didn't budge (218lbs) or compromise.
  • Pouch is a cool value add for a flashlight, knife, pen, window breaker, a couple mini adult beverage mixers, or whatever.
  • Handle pad/grip leaves a lot to be desired and doesn't fit great in the hand, but functions. I can't see using them without the pads. Will probably get some small O.D. hose to wrap the handle before the pad goes on to firm up the grip a bit.
    • UPDATE: Any rightsized hose will work but in my case I cut some 1/4" Braided Clear PVC tubing I had laying around the shop and it fills the grip in quite nicely once the pad is attached over it.
  • I like the fold-up and stay up functionality.
  • No brainer install
Spiderwebshade
  • DO NOT, under any circumstance, toss out the red shoelace thing that comes with the kit. That thing is the best GD install "tool" provided in any kit I've ever had  .
  • The Instructions are not great... surf for and watch the videos to make sure you're connecting all the right Spider Nubbins (whatever the hell a nubbin is) and Spiderballs in the right spot/way.
  • You do not need to lower the windshield to the deck, just hold it open with one hand and clip with the other. Watch the placement of the cords though to make sure they don't interfere with the windshield seats.
  • No flapping or excessive noise at speed but to be fair, they are new and I'm sure will stretch out some. Works as advertised....

I stopped at Cloakworks for a few things to make the steering tight until I get a lift installed.
I had the slightly longer LCAs from Mopar installed along with the MetalCloak Heavy Duty Tie Rod kit, Drag Link kit and a Fox ATS kit.
I was going to have a Sector Shaft Brace installed but it would not fit with the factory suspension.

I forgot my laptop and had to make a second trip to pick it up. Almost worth it for the view of the Sierra.

Which Sector Shaft Brace wouldn't fit? This is on my list, and I'm not planning on lifting much if at all.

We dropped off the 392 for Xpel PPF Ultimate Stealth (matte finish) and ceramic tint for the windows all around. Hereā€™s the start of the half doors.

Clockworks is a great shop.

Hereā€™s an update. The 392 is about 70% complete with the Stealth PPF install. Just the front end is left. They call it the Big Boy LEGO as they took it apart to get it done right.

Not all in one day, but...
  • Smittybilt X2O Gen3 10K Winch with Synthetic Rope (Warn Winch Mount Kit)
  • Mopar Grille and Winch Guard Hoop
  • Mopar 7-Inch Off-Road LED Light Kit
  • Mopar Winch Guard Light Mounting Brackets
  • AntennaX 13-inch Off-Road Flexible Antenna
  • Badass Moto Jeep Roll Bar Fire Extinguisher Mount for Kidde 1-A:10-B:C Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher

Swapped Falcon stabs today. I was a dumbass for initially buying the JL version when the JK version flips out of the way. Quick PSAā€¦ my track bar bolt to the axle was almost loose.

Also threw on ASFIR drivetrain and muffler skids.

Nearly finished up rear Clayton performance springs, 5100 rear shocks, Hellwig rear bar, synergy links, and Magnaflow Rock Crawler. One v-band had a leak at the bolt side, so i will get back under it tomorrow and finagle it a bit. Sounds great, just idling i would say itā€™s deeper than stock but not louder. If you think the garbage can muffler in the back would weight save, it will not. The Magnaflow resonators and drone chambers more than make up for the removal of the stock muffler by weight.

Probably will be a few weeks before i get to the front end.
