Tracking Order Status of Your Wrangler 392

All I know is jeep is pissing me off with this stupid 392...I went to one dealer put a 1k deposit down and they told me 4-5months, so I walk and find another dealer who made me buy their order as is, but they have it in c schedule for the past 6 days now...no Vin #, just a von # and of course slowest process ever...my sister just ordered a regular wrangler Sahara, of course that has a Vin and is moving along much faster and smoother than my order...makes u wonder if the 392 is even worth it?
The way I see it...the 392 is not a Jeep that will be mass-produced. They don't have thousands of those hoods with the hydro guide laying around. They are making most or all of those, and other unique 392 parts as they get ordered. The other trims are mass produced and parts for them are abundant.

Now to your question, is it worth waiting for it? Only you can answer that question. It is very worth it to me. The Bronco guys are waiting a year for theirs.

I will never buy a 2021 car and have it delivered in 2022...I'm already paying msrp which is for idiots to begin with...

I mean when you are selling an 83k car, only idiot let's them dictate how many years old it will be when you receive it too lol

Better communication and transparency is all I would like to set realistic expectations for me...like I'm being told 4-8 weeks by the current dealer I'm working with, but it just seems like a unicorn a totally made up thing that doesn't really exist...like maybe I was lied to yet again and 4 - 5 months is most realistic? Idk but the longer this takes...the less I want this car and the more I wish I had my 2020 gladiator back

The TRX guys are having the same delivery issues. On a positive note, it makes the ADM dealers and flippers gleeful as there is always someone with more money than brains to pay for the I need it now attitude.

Yeah I'm trying to relax about it and have some faith but damn I'm getting conflicting information from all the shopping around I did the past month now lol

Trust me man, I feel your pain. I ordered on day 1 (11/19/20) and still don't have mine. Meanwhile, there folks on here who ordered 2-3 months after that and have already taken delivery. Very frustrating for sure.

Thanks for putting it in perspective, if I ordered in November and didn't get delivery yet, oh man hahaha...jeep should seriously discount those who ordered first and get delivered to later than others

I know wishful, delusional thinking on my end...I go if I can track my pizza order thru domino's why not a car? Lol I know its an oversimplification, but still cmon now lol
I agree completely. Jeep Chat won't give you anything definitive. I checked earlier this morning on my status and all they would say is "I am showing your order has been accepted and is pending availability of production capacity before proceeding further into the build process". Meanwhile you can see all these other "non-392" Wranglers getting built and sent to dealers. Given the price of the 392's, our's probably have a higher profit margin. You would think that they would want to get those out quicker.

I actually called 800-247-9753, which is Chrysler customer support, and they actually claimed nothing should be holding the production of the 392 up anymore, unless you did Mopar lift customizations etc not on jeeps website...the woman told me 7-9 weeks from when you order should be the longest lol

That's hilarious.... I have been waiting four months and don't even have a build date yet.

How many factors do you guys think are playing into the individual build timing of our 392s. They seem to all be built at the same location, so that's not a factor. I can think of a few; the color chosen (paint availability), options (half doors are not as popular, so maybe more time is needed), dealer location, dealer allocation, VIN sequence, and order date (to a degree).

Or, they just pull our names out of a hat.

Haha I’m starting to thinking there pulling names out of a hat

I talked to Jeep chat last week and I was told all my parts are in and they should build very soon
This week I got an email from Jeep and she told me there still receiving my parts
So, what is going on?!
The way it’s going I guess I’m gonna have a nice Xmas present 😜

I totally just said this to myself this morning. It's like there is a room full of 392 orders. Not stacked, but just thrown around. Every now and then a guy walks in and grabs a handful and takes them to the production line. It's frustrating. I can see them not knowing how long it will take until the order is processed, but once it's in the system it HAS to have a time frame with it. lol.

- Ordered my 392 on 02/05
- Received Vin on 02/26 with status D - Firm schedule.serial number is assigned
- On 03/13 Received Production date of 04/22
- Today on 04/21 dealer texted me that it just went into paint and should be fully built within a couple days
- Happy day, looks very close to the production schedule of 04/22.
- Dealer is selling at MSRP, no markups... Kansas Dealer says it should be here within a month.
Got my build sheet today and all looks correct for my order!

Just found out my 392 shipped 4/15 after calling the 800# for Chrysler. Called the dealership to see where it's at and awaiting their return call. Surely it's there, it's been 8 days shipping from Ohio to Texas. Will report back.
